http://CollisionBlast.com - students in the collision repair program demonstrate auto body work using the 3M Dynamic Mixing Body Filler Gun. I commend the students for producing this student led video on how to use the gun. One thing that I may recommend as the instructor is not to use the zig zag motion when adding the filler. It is better to apply the filler on top of each other, which will eliminate the possibility of pin holes. Great job on the video! You can also see this video on our class blog at http://bit.ly/3MBodyFiller
http://CollisionBlast.com - In this video we are going to show you how to mix flat or matte paint when painting a car. The paint we are using is a single stage matte black finish. Then line of paint is called Hot Rod made by Keystone Automotive. The mixing ration is 4:1, but this may vary depending on the brand of paint you are using. Read the technical data sheet for the products you are using to determine what the mixing ration is for that brand.
http://CollisionBlast.com/3MCustomImageKit - In this video, 3M is going to demonstrate how to use their new custom paint image kit. his is a DIY kit that is easy to do. If you should decide to remove the image, no problem, as it's easy to remove. Once removed, you will never know the custom image was their.
This will give your paint finish a custom ghost, etched, matte, type of effect. Words, images, logos are ideas that would work great for this DIY kit.
All you will need is a knife to cut the transfer sheeting and a printer to print the design onto the sheeting. Everything else is included in the kit. For the removal, a drill to operate the polishing pads will is needed.
The kit will be available at http://CollisionBlast.com/3MCustomImageKit
