COPPA has been a HUGE topic of discussion. If you've ever enjoyed an entertaining YouTube video, then this probably applies to you. The Federal Trade Commission's recent changes to COPPA's regulations are drastic and have very bad implications, not just for kids channels, but other channels, and a wide variety of viewers. While the FTC has been taking comments, without any changes to these regulations, these very vague regulations are kind of like handing a random stranger (The FTC) a gun and them saying to you, "Don't worry, I won't shoot you." I sure hope not, but wouldn't you rather not hand that kind of power over to someone?
