Behringer D Vs MiniMoog Model D - THE REMATCH - Technical Video
Following the first “Shootout” video I made between a MiniMoog Model D and a Behringer D or “Boog” as it's being called online I have taken some feedback from the community and with the suggestions made I have spent an entire evening doing a much more technical comparison of these synthesizers. NOTE this video will probably be very boring for some viewers, my apologies, I do not know how to spice up a video like this, but if you are curious how these 2 synths stack up on a deeper level and have about an hour to burn then give it a spin! In this video I will be covering the following
1- Comparing individual oscillator wave forms one by one (1, 2 and 3).
2- Comparing oscillators with stacked wave forms
3- Some low-pass filter sweeps with varying amounts of resonance
4- Tested the Overdrive circuit
5- Tested the high-pass filer on the Behringer D – (is not a feature on the MiniMoog, but I had questions about it)
Consistency is king -
For this video I uses the iZotope Insight plugin to monitor loudness levels and get the audio spectrum. Audio is played back via a MIDI riff I played and is triggered for each sound. In addition I used a free Max for Live oscilloscope - You can get that for free below:

Things not covered in this video -
1- No separate offsetting of oscillators 2 and 3 due to noticeable differences in pot positioning - It can be done, but if you "go by the numbers" on the dials they will sound different.
2- Wave forms compared include all but the Triangle, the video was getting too long so I skipped that one for the sake of time.
3- No modulation or envelopes
Conclusion from Marshal on the whole Boog vs Moog thang -
So again, there are some differences in these synths sonically and that is OK. Both sound great and I highly recommend both!

What Will KnobCon Be Like? - Live Stream 09/02/2018
As I prepare to leave for Chicago on Friday 9/7 I wanted to have a look at the KnobCon site and see what I can expect from the event. This will be my 1st synth convention and am excited as well as a bit nervous. I also have built a little camera rig that utilizes my Samsung Galaxy S9+ as the heart of the system. I'll briefly walk though that setup as well.

Each synth has its own unique sound and personality, and I love experimenting with different combinations to create new sounds. Some of my favorites include the Moog One, which has incredible depth and warmth, the Roland TR-8s, which is perfect for creating classic drum machine sounds, and the Waldorf Quantum, which has an incredibly powerful engine for creating complex, evolving sounds.

Well, here it is finally! I wrote this in 2018 when I bought the IK Multimedia UNO Synth. Almost all synth sounds are the UNO Synth, thing sounds awesome really for such a low cost.
I created the Art Work for the album cover using the AI Art engine Midjourney. Basically, I asked the AI bot to create a synthesizer schematic in the style of Leonardo da Vinci. This was the 1st high resolution render I went with. I stylized it a bit in photoshop and added a handwritten title... sorry my cursive is awful, but i think it suites the art OK.
Parts of the early production of this track were streamed right here on this channel!
I had shelved it for a few years, but pulled it out recently and decided to finish it and then release it. I hope you enjoy this track.
