Job Satisfaction is one of those concepts that most people only pay lip service to. Being disgruntled may not make people happy, but in most professions realistically you can move ahead without much thought to inner fulfillment and happiness. In the tech world job satisfaction is one of the most important facets to being successful.
Going above and beyond in our field is simply taken for granted. Your boss should grumble about forcing you to go home at the end of the day instead of complaining about you clocking out early. The more satisfaction you find in your work, the more you will strive to learn, which at the end of the day will make you more valuable and sought after.
Description:
In this class Eli teaches you what Overclocking is and why it is/ was important.

Everything has a cost...
It is innate human reaction to always try to maintain the status quo. The brain prefers to fall into prerecorded routines so that it can save energy. Real thinking is kept to a minimum as a survival mechanism even in an age when for $1 you can buy a 2000 calories bag of chips on almost any street corner.
When confronted with loss and change it is easiest and feels best to try to get back what you have lost, but the reality is that everything you have comes at a cost. At some point you made the decision to pay that price, but the correctness of that past decision may no longer be appropriate.
Virtual Reality is great until you trip over the coffee table and have to go to the emergency room. Merged Reality takes your surrounding environment into account for VR experiences. Your coffee table becomes a boulder. Your dog becomes an Ewok. This allows you to interact with real world objects in the VR environment by visually reskining them.
VR headsets are able to do this by having cameras on the outside of the headset and are able to send what they see to the VR computer.
