Goldman Sachs, known for their major role in the financial collapse of 2008, has recently made a shocking statement. Apparently, capitalism is not all it’s cracked up to be. This is coming from Goldman Sachs. To capture the gravitas of this statement, it would be like the NFL saying, “hey you know what? This football sport is not all it’s cracked up to be.” Lee Camp explains this and more on Redacted Tonight.

In this new Redacted Tonight, host Lee Camp covers how it should be no surprise Obama is accepting nearly half a million dollars for a speech at a Wall Street-backed conference, as his ties with big banks precede even his presidency. While people claim Obama is a hypocrite for taking the money, Obama's criticism of Wall Street has always been empty rhetoric, given not only his, but his cabinet's well-known ties to Wall Street. Then Lee updates us on the lawsuit Bernie Sanders supporters filed against the DNC for rigging the Democratic primary in 2016 for Hillary Clinton, in which the DNC's lawyers argue that Bernie supporters should have known Sanders had a zero chance of being the party's nominee as long as the DNC had their way. In the second half, correspondent Naomi Karavani joins Lee at the desk to explain how economic inequality only serves to widen the health equity gap between the rich and the poor. Finally, correspondent Natalie McGill exposes reprehensible school policies that allow school staff to "lunch shame" kids who can't afford their lunches by throwing away their hot food and branding kids who can't pay with stamps. All of this on the newest episode of Redacted Tonight!

In this latest episode of Redacted Tonight VIP, we bring you the second half of host Lee Camp’s interview with Peter Joseph, author, filmmaker and founder of the Zeitgeist Movement. Joseph author of the new book, “The New Human Rights Movement,” talks about the solutions that will end the broken promises of capitalistic society. Joseph tells Lee about the shifts that need to happen in our society to increase economic efficiency, such as automation that frees us from labor and eliminates class wars, and expanding access through avenues like open source networks where people can participate without needing to exchange something for it. In the second half, Lee talks about how the special election in Georgia's 6th district was stolen from Democratic contender Jon Ossoff thanks to the continued barriers people of color faced in casting a vote to flip a seat that's traditionally been Republican-held. When roadblocks in the form of gerrymandering, interstate crosscheck and the like are still present, it won't matter how much money Democrats pump into an election--they can expect similar results. Finally, Lee talks about a new study that finds an oral solution of cannabidiol -- extracted from cannabis plant -- can help decrease epileptic seizures in children. This only adds to the growing body of research that shows medicinal marijuana helps people with epileptic symptoms. Despite this breakthrough, Lee Camp rants about how Attorney General Jeff Sessions still has an ax to grind with medical marijuana, despite the fact no one gets high off of it. All this and more on the latest Redacted Tonight VIP.
