Re-creation of Psion Organiser Part 17: Green Display and Problems
The power circuit doesn't turn off properly, not sure why. The 128K EPROM datapacks won't work with the current circuit due to them using a voltage regulator to turn the 21V VPP signal into a 5V control signal. I had a go at a 512K flash datapack and that doesn't work either, and also has a voiltage regulator on VPP. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ztz63eQMTt4
This non-working TV came my way and I'm going to try to re-use it as a monitor. The television is an LG 32LE4900.

This is a RAM cartridge for the FX9000P. This PCB is a 4K cartridge due to the layout, and it uses a RP Pico to sit on the bus and provide the RAM. There's configuration links on the board to set up the RAM address decoding and the signals that set the addressing of the other cards in the FX9000P.
The second socket is for another Pico that will handle the SD card and allow the RAM to be dumped to the SD card and loaded from the SD card. The two Picos communicate using a transputer link.
The lines on the display are a fault with the video hardware. I think a couple of RAM chips are broken, but it could be some other fault.
I've had the SD card working on the second Pico and have the link between them sending data, so the code just needs a finishing step to pull it all together.
The case looks odd because the FX9000P is dismantled in many ways...

A Dr Who 'The Moment' pen box. It's half a moment, not a cube and also 4/5 scale. It holds three Beaufort Ink based pens.
Made from wood, plywood, acrylic, brass, copper and aluminium with a crushed velvet lining inside.
The box can be dismantled, it is all screwed together, no glue holds anything other than the crushed velvet.

The contents of RAM are saved to EEPROM and then restored on power on. This is great until it goes wrong and you can't get rid of it. So you need an escape hatch.
