Eterium - Indie Space Combat Game - Channeling The Spirit of Wing Commander
Rogue Earth, The developers of Eterium asked me to take a look at their current project, a space combat sim that pays homage to the original Wing Commander albeit with proper 3d graphics and more anime influenced character art.
There's been a lot of discussion about SuperHeavy - the booster used by Starship - after some tweets by Elon Musk confirming that the ultimate plan is to save time and mass by landing the booster on a capture system able to support the vehicle by its grid fins.
The upsides are great, but it'll require new levels of precision in the landing system and, will increase the consequences of failure. So, it's a fascinating and I'm not 100% convinced they'll get it to work right away, but I'm always happy to watch anyone pushing the limits of rocket science.

I asked this question on Twitter last night - is a year 365.25 days, or 10 minutes shorter or longer. Lots of people answered, and the trick is everyone got it right, because every answer is correct depending on how you define 'year'.

LC 17 - Launch Complex 17 has been used for the Thor and Delta series of launchers for more than 60 years, but this morning the demolition crews took down the launch towers as they clear the site to make way for its new residents - Lunar Express.

Recovering from war we try to reforge our defences and make friends with our neighbours, that means making some changes to our internal politics. We also become host to some new citizens who are fleeing persecution in their own homeworlds and find that we have a place to stay.

Lots of questions were asked, so I thought I'd answer them while attempting the landing with Ferram Aerospace installed.
Apparently the story about the stage spinup and baffles was untrue, I don't remember where I heard it, but it's all wrong, it was simple fuel starvation.

Last Monday NASA announced that Doug Loverro, head of human spaceflight at NASA was resigning only 6 months after starting the job, and just over a week before the historic return to flight for the human spaceflight program. We know it's not related to the Commercial Crew Program and is going to have no effect on the upcoming launch, but we don't have much in the way of concrete information to go on.
Right now the theory is that this is related to the procurement of the Human landing system, but we could be wrong.
Update:
An article in the Wall Street Journal has confirmed that NASA’s Inspector General is investigating information shared with Boeing as part of the Human Landing System proposal - confirming my speculation.

Our first Lunar probe may have missed the moon, but it's coming back again in a few months for a much closer approach. However in the meantime, we have a contract to place a satellite into an accurate polar orbit, for which we'll need the new maneuvering thrusters, While they're inefficient, they are capable of igniting unlimited times for fine tuning orbits.

Just a short video showing me out flying place for fun, I'm based out of Gnoss (KDVO) in Novato, and want to fly up the California Coast to Little River (KLLR) in Mendocino. That's about 100 miles direct, on the roads this would be over 3 hours of driving, but flying is about 45minutes.
