Classic anthem by Bruno Sanchioni, ⅓ of B.B.E ("7 Days and 1 Week"... which you can very easily tell if you play the 2 back2back)& Giuseppe Chierchia, a guy better known for that much sampled disco tune (the one in "Getting Jiggy With it" and "Don't call me Baby"... Ring a bell? Don't ask how I know that ... just... don't ok? ???).
Classed as *"the first trance tune ever made",* which it pretty much is, from way back in 1990. It sounded great then; great in 1992 when Jam & Spoon 's "Watch out for Stella" remix updated for the millions of new ravers (which I included because many ravers aren't aware that's not the original version), it's been great all the times it's been remixed, whether the old skool or the new versions (the only thing out of sync is the description of THIS Particular "age".
More "the age that needs love".
tracks:
Age of Love
1. Jam & Spoon Watch Out For Stella Mix
2. Sign of the Times remix.
3. OPM remix
4. Boeng remix
Mark Skelton (no relation to Les...so they claim haha!) a more technical DJ. I'm officially on a bittersweet Niche Nostalgia-fest...And it's led me to this gem of a tune I've been searching for at about 48:00 I only heard it 3 times in my life 1996-2000, whenever I asked it was "IGA feeling" or more informatively "White label" by "Unknown". I apologize for the sound quality in the others, this ain't bad & the Danny Walker mix sounds great .
The sound on this one is significantly better than on the Orbit '92 set, no MC like the Big Love Set, longer than both, with belting tunes, the dark bangin Tee remix of Bizarre Inc, Havana - Ethnic Prayer, the underground version of Capella -"U got 2 Know", timeless trance anthem "Pacific Symphony" from Transformer 2, spine tingling , rounding off with "POA Natives" by the ever awesome Dance 2 Trance, with what seems like an end of set bluff with the old "do you want one more tune", trick. No track ID, but I think it's F40. Plus a couple of DJ-ing fuck-ups adds a priceless "highest paid DJ in the world at bedroom DJ standard" snapshot :laughing_1:
Oh and I found a hilarious photo of a young mullet sporting Oakey, gurning his balls off with a gang of pilled up pals lol!

Shivaxi is 1 of the BIG FOUR "Pyschotronica Psyioneers", along with Xenofish, Cybernetika, & 4 is a shifting spotlight between Mellow Sonic/One Arc Degree & DJ Basilisk who previously owned that spot for forming Ektoplazm & scouting such rare talent.
Although I've heard Shivaxi's tunes before, I was blown away by his DJing, & the range of Drum n Bass: From Darkcore Drum & Bass, Jungle, Techstep/Hardstep, & of course the Psychedelic & Liquid D&B.

Abduction was known for the longest time to be Eat Static's 1st album as the initial hype over their unmistakable banging style grew. (officially the 2nd album but "Prepare Your Spirit" was really more of a random combo of records, available on tape for a limited time at VERY SAVVY record shops).
It's easy to see why though.
Abduction feels like a much more refined & wholesome musical journey, beginning, middle & end, by a band that found their sound.
Confidently delivered, signature E.S weird "WTF?" FX, cool , funny & bizarre vocal/noise samples. Amazingly deep, analogue soundscapes, funky, catchy, expertly crafted synth riffs, rhythms, basslines, sequences & layering. Electronica so ahead of time, many ravers only discovered their music years later. Although '93 was a year underground tunes got more innovative, trancey
... E.S's sound has the blueprints for Acid Techno, Psychedelic trance, trip hop, breakbeat & Detroit techno without setting any boundaries. Superb.
