Residents of Kamwenge District in Western Uganda in collaboration with security agencies are pursuing ADF rebels suspected to have sneaked into Uganda from the Democratic Republic of Congo causing havoc. The response follows recent attacks in Kitehurize Cell and Nyabitutsi, all in Kamwenge District where ten people were killed and scores injured. Makerere University has appointed a management committee to mediate in the complaint of inequality and lack of affirmative action regarding born-again students at Makerere University.
The committee was instituted by the Acting vice chancellor Professor Henry Alinaitwe and being headed by Professor Helen Nambalirwa the Associate Professor Religion and peace studies at Makerere.
She encouraged all interested stake holders to share their views with the committee to ensure a participative resolution of a complaint regarding inequality and discrimination.
