Just a quick video to help beginners in Blender with installing addons. This way I can just point people to this video rather than go through the process of installing an addon every time I talk about one in a video. I realize most people in the Blender community don't need this video, but fun fact, everyone who knows how to install a Blender addon right now, at one point didn't. This is also the first video in a series of short, hyper-to-the-point, under five minutes tutorial videos I'm creating. Like, comment, and subscribe. Thanks again!

Blender has a lot of awesome nodes for creating procedurally generated materials, but if you don't understand the different surfaces those nodes manipulate then you might end up with a huge mess of a material! So before going all crazy with texture nodes, let's see how far we can get by just adjusting the settings found within Blender's main material workhorse node, the Principled BSDF Node. This video features a really cool Blender file to help you learn and experiment with the Principled BSDF Node. You can download it for free from blendersensei.com (link below).

Numpad keys are the big block of number keys to the right of a full-sized keyboard. Back in the day, these keys were used for most navigation operations in Blender. These days Blender has lovely navigation widgets found in the top right corner or the tilde key which brings up a similar pie menu. However, for people looking for a faster solution, or for those who simply do not possess a full-sized keyboard (such as with a laptop), it's nice to be able to use the top 1-0 keys found on any keyboard for these navigation keys. It should be noted that the regular 1-0 keys are already mapped to collection toggling keys in Blender. But if you don't use those keys, here is a great alternative use for them.

Blender outputs a crash report whenever it crashes. However it can be tedious to locate this file on your computer. Now, should ever Blender suddenly crash, you can open Blender back up again, right click, and under “More Tools” press “Load Last Crash” to load the most recent crash report directly into Blender’s text editor.
