As our 2022 riding season is coming to a close, CVFR (LRRP) Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound departed on a three day motorcycle trip from 23-25 Sep 2022, logging just over 1000km. This trip took us from Owen Sound to Petawawa Ontario on day one, with a new member Ken aka KAOS, whom we patched into the Canadian Veteran Freedom Riders before departing. Ken aka Kenny did the honors of patching in his son Ken aka KAOS.
Day 2 was initially planned for us to ride from Petawawa to the War Museum in Ottawa, but was quickly changed as we all decided to meet our CVFR National President/Founder Mike aka Smokey, along with our comrades from CVFR Trent Hills, in order to join them at the veterans motorcycle parade in Perth Ontario. A great lunch was provided afterwards at the Royal Canadian Legion in Perth, where we all enjoyed the company of veterans and motorcycle enthusiasts. As last light comes earlier, we were off to Peterborough Ontario, arriving at our Hotel and planning our evening social gathering among our CVFR (LRRP) Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound members.
Day 3 was our ride back home from Peterborough to Owen Sound/Meaford Ontario, where we hit the rain all along the route, until our lunch break in Wasaga Beach. I Mike aka Static-Line, Founder/1st President of CVFR Meaford unit now known as CVFR (LRRP) Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound along with all our members, would like to thank Norm aka Q-Ball, President of CVFR Trent Hills and all his unit members for always welcoming us with open arms.
A special thanks to our road-captain Mike aka Pegasus for planning/coordinating and leading this awesome trip. Thanks goes out to our videographer/photographer Roger aka Excalibur for his dedication in capturing our trip, which can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/user/weron021... under videos, which Roger aka Excalibur will be posting shortly.
Lastly, thank you to all members of CVFR (LRRP) Bruce -Grey-Owen Sound, all independent riders that come together as a team with a common goal, camaraderie and helping local veterans in need within our geographical area. Our newest members who have joined us in 2022 are proving that friendship among motorcycle enthusiast makes for a great club, called the Canadian Veteran Freedom Riders. Consider joining the CVFR by visiting us at www.cvfr.ca where you can view our films along with units spreads across Canada.
