Sanfoyu 600W Power Station on Amazon: https://geni.us/4skwKzi
This is a VERY affordable option for anyone wanting to store power for a grid-down situation.
It's great to see good power stations available for half the cost of the leading brands.
Apologies to Sanfoyu for taking a while to make this video but I'm very rigid with my testing and reviewing. I need to charge, discharge, charge, store, discharge and repeat to properly test everything I receive before giving an honest opinion on it, with very few exceptions.
If you're looking for an affordable power station then this one is worthy of consideration and it pairs very well with the solar panels I have (Allpowers and Jackery) - most solar panels will have cables which are Anderson and standard DC. The Sanfoyu takes a standard DC18V input so it's no problem to charge with any of the solar panels I have (or from the mains using the supplied mains charger).
Being prepared for any of the nonsense arising from Agenda 2030 is a great feeling and being energy independent is a huge step toward that - not everyone is willing (or has the ability) to install a proper off grid solar system so this is a great option.
If you want an affordable long term solution for family drinking water when look no further:

Using a microscope to take a look at the internal structure of some common types of filter media. Please click 'show more' for all information on media, time stamps and worldwide links (where available).
Microscope used: http://geni.us/IyFI0m4
Good biological filter media needs to be receptive to bacteria, have a varied internal structure and last for a very long time if it is to support aerobic and anaerobic bacteria and have a chance of providing full cycle filtration (reduction in nitrate).
It generally falls into 4 categories (for static filters):
1 - PLASTIC- avoid for a static filter as the surface area is so low. Poor receptiveness to bacteria.
2 - NATURAL ROCK - can vary wildly in usefulness and may raise pH (white pumice). Varied receptiveness to bacteria but generally good.
3 - CERAMIC - made from clay dust. Quality of structure and hardness can be very varied depending on type. Relatively receptive to bacteria even on/in poor quality media.
4 - SINTERED GLASS - made from sand and powdered glass. Generally very hard but quality of internal structure can vary depending on mix used. Very receptive to bacteria.
Filter media in order of appearance:
SCORIA (lava rock): http://geni.us/daKf8n1
Scoria is commonly known as lava rock since it is an inert, natural volcanic rock. It is relatively heavy and although the outside may look extremely porous and good for bacteria to colonise the internal structure is largely inaccessible so as a filter media it is not ideal but it is cheap.
WHITE PUMICE: http://www.filterpro.co.uk
Volcanic rock which generally has good hardness, accessible internal structure but quality can vary. Drinking water quality pumice has best structure and quality but all white pumice has a high pH (generally around 8.0) making it really only suitable for marine, koi, goldfish, livebearers and Malawi / Tanganyikan cichlids.
Varied quality white pumice is commonly sold under different names by some manufacturers with no warning about pH.
Avoid if it is poor quality pumice which contains a large amount of grey / black stones as it will generally be micro porous and will quickly clog up.
ALFAGROG: http://geni.us/Il899
Very hard, rough ceramic media which has good external surface area but poor porosity. Works well even in dirty filters as it does not clog easily (due to poor porosity). Very cheap = good budget choice for pond filters.
CHINESE CERAMIC - really poor quality media which is brittle, has poor internal structure, poor accessibility and will break down quickly in any sort of water flow. Unfortunately this is for sale all over the internet - avoid.
BIOHOME: http://www.filterpro.co.uk
An inert, sintered glass media which is made in various sizes and has varied pore structure and accessibility for use in different types o

This is a detailed video which explains exactly what Biohome filter media is and how it benefits your filter.
Biohome filter media has a massive surface area for aerobic bacteria colonisation and also has a great capacity to provide an environment for anaerobic bacteria on the interior of the media.
Hugely porous and extremely efficient, the Biomotion media converts ammonia and nitrite (as normal media would) but also reduces nitrate due to the anaerobic bacteria which live in it's core.
This reduces the need for large water changes so creates a more stable environment in your aquarium (freshwater and marine) and pond.
It is inert and will not release any chemicals / minerals into the water but it is advisable to rinse before use as dust may be generated during transit.
Although I supply worldwide from the UK, details of distributors in other countries to follow here....
Types of Biohome media are as follows:
1 - Biohome Standard
A compact media suitable for overhead filters, trickle filters, sumps, external and internal filters.
2 - Biohome Plus
As above but with additives to ensure much faster colonisation by bacteria.
3 - Biomotion
A rounded media with neutral buoyancy. Suitable for moving bed filters, overhead filters, trickle filters, sumps, external filters and internal filters. Has montmonrolite clay coating to condition water.
4 - Biohome Ultra (large)
A larger version of Biohome standard with rougher feel. Extremely porous. Suitable for trickle towers, sumps, larger external filters, overhead filters and multi chamber koi filters.
5 - Biohome mini Ultra
A smaller version of Ultra, perfect for external filters, sumps, overhead filters, trickle filters and internal filters. Has the ultra porous structure in a more convenient size.
6 - Biohome Ultimate*
This is Biohome mini Ultra with added trace elements (as in biohome Plus) which are essential for bacteria to rapidly colonise a filter. Cuts down the already quick maturing time of Biohome media and has the ultra porous structure and convenient size of Mini Ultra.
Trace elements in 'plus' and 'ultimate': Silica, Titania, Alumina, Ferric Oxide, Lime, Magnesia, Potash, Soda, Phosphorus Pentoxide, Chromium Sesquioxide, Manganic Oxide, Zirconia, Hafnia, Zinc Oxide, Barium Oxide, Strontia, Stannic Oxide, Sulphur Trioxide. (from XRF analysis)
Is this the best filter media ever? Very likely.
*In the UK the Biohome Ultimate is my exclusive product and has been made to my specifications making it the 'Ultimate' filter media and ending my search for the best filter media.
All of the above filter media will be available from my ebay selling page, plus any new media which I discover works well enough to confiden
