Heads are funny things - all I did was manage to not duck enough and bash mine on the corner of a door frame. This resulted in concussion and a whiplash injury - which I assumed would clear up in a day or two, but here I am 4 weeks later still with a nice headache and the inability to concentrate on anything for more than a few minutes (which I'm assured is normal for this, and could take 6-8 weeks to feel normal again)
I've missed out on lots of nice flying days, and it looks like I'll still be out of action for another couple of weeks - but I thought I'd give a quick rundown of what I've been waiting to mess around with.
I went away with my family last week on a break, but the weather didn't quite hold up for us. Aside from long walks in the mud, I managed a few flights on a Tiny7, but I didn't get my 5" quad out at all :(
The Tiny7 is a great indoor quad, but iit's very weak outside. It's fine for flying out the house into a windless garden and back again, but it's not great for flying like this. I took the Tiny7 just in case I was stuck on-site like this as I thought it was less conspicuous - but in retrospect, something like the ET100 would have been a better choice as it would have handled the breeze better. Everytime I flipped, or rolled the Tiny7 it went nuts in it's own prop wash and fell out of the sky ! Also, yes - my roof needs a serious clean.

Air mode seems to confuse many a new pilot - mainly in the fact that it's not a flight mode in itself, but just a modifier of an existing one. In this video we'll look at what difference using air mode makes in some acro flying.

Sadly a failed unit has stopped me from finishing pt 2 of the review, but as I hate it when I'm waiting for a part 2 of something, I thought it only polite to put a quick update out there.
It's always a bit of a worry when something fails like this, and I don't have a particular reason for it - but like I said, I'll reserve judgement for when I get the replacement. I'd much prefer it to fail on the bench than in the air anyway :)

I'm sure I don't have to tell anyone that customer support is everything in this game - lose that, and you'll lose your customers.
So what happened to Charles at MFD, well aside from popping up sometimes in AliShanmao videos to being a full-time absentee.
Where he was quick to respond and helpful, he's no nowhere to be seen - perhaps he's too busy under the mounting bulk of paypal disputes against him ?
The hardware is still great (when working), but what's the point of that if there's no support when things go wrong.
Charles, I hope you watch it and can respond.

On test today is the Creality Nebula Camera. If you saw my original review of this printer, I managed to have a print detach from the bed and end up with 2 hours of spaghetti. I saw this camera and wondered if it could stop that sort of situation from happening - so let's see if it can!
This camera was kindly supplied for review by Creality. A follow-up test to the RunCam Micro Swift review where I flew it on a plane, this time I mount it on a 220 sized quad.
This camera was kindly provided for review by Banggood.com. Here is the (affiliate) link to it http://bit.ly/2spU61b
I'll be back with some more video featuring this new build - as I used a few new components, but I've also documented this build on my blog http://www.currykitten.co.uk
As soon as I get the 2.3mm version of the camera I'll attempt to put some side-by-side footage up of the same run.

I said I'd be back to try 6S, and here it is... albeit in a slightly bodged way. But never mind, what could possibly go wrong :D
Well, we could get a motor desync and it fall out of the sky... for example. This is my take on what's happening at least, but I'm certainly open to opinions and suggestions for fixing. I should just work out of the box of course, but that's just wishful thinking. A bit of a shame really, as the sluggishness that I experienced in 4S is gone - so the motor KV needs 6S even if the ESCs don't want to play nicely.
