i initially joined the site because I was annoyed with lootube and wanted something that could sync all of my videos and be able to keep my videos from being unfairly removed. later i found out that LBRY is decentralized and open source so that helped me transition to this being my main platform. after awhile I and the site as a whole was growing at an incredible pace and it allowed me to make this a career, then the government came and ruined any progress that was made. nonetheless now sentences don't automatically start with a capital letter unlike every other site ive typed on, videos will sometimes not process for no reason whatsoever, lbc has almost no value and is barely given out, and many other problems, the initial framework is still there. a decentralized blockchain based open source app that allowes for any files to be uploaded without fear of censorship. oh and Odysee exists now too. overall LBRY means to me freedom to be who you want to be no matter what that is and that is extremely rare nowadays, that along with me becoming fairly successful on this platform is more than i could have ever imagined. link to the thumbnail gif https://www.reddit.com/r/lbry/comments/m6eak6/make_a_lbry_odysee_gif_and_you_could_get_a_gift/
