Martian Dust Storm Has Turned Day Into Night - Can Opportunity Survive?
The darkest dust storm ever recorded on Mars has cut off power to the Opportunity rover. Scientists have described the conditions as if Day has become night, with only 0.0002% of sunlight reaching the surface, insufficient to keep the Opportunity rover running. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X__AKRqlK4s
The groundwork has been laid, the technology has been developed and we're ready to put a brave kerbal on the surface of the mun. Unfortunately due to a mix up 2 difference life support systems were included on this spacecraft and it appears that instead of a 13 day mission we only have 24 hours to land and return to the safety of Kerbin.

Void Destroyer is a game I backed on kickstarter last year, and promptly forgot about. Well it finally appeared on Steam Early Access and I must say I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it's looking right now. The gameplay mechanics are all there, tutorials actually explain the game and it's a good sign that I have a hard time remembering all the controls.

There's only one target left in this mission, and we know we can land using EVA packs, but I wanted to also demonstrate the utility of the space probes as boosters for kerbals in EVA mode. That's the reason I added ladders to the side. As it turns out, it's not that helpful due to control issues, and the kerbal not being able to hold on.
And as it happens, I had load of fuel left regardless and can soft land my interplanetary spacecraft in the low minmus gravity.

Eve Echoes is a spin off from Eve Online, and it's trying to take the full Eve experience and bring it to mobile devices. It's largely built around the same universe and lore. The Spacecraft models and themes are copied over, but, the UI has been changed to make it work on touch screens, and many of the game mechanics have been redesigned or simplified.
However, it has all the important features that make the Eve Universe great - the player driven economy, the player driver corporations, and of course a vast universe full of things to shoot, explore, harvest or exploit. For a seasoned Eve player the most attractive thing about this is that it's a reboot with everyone starting out again, and I'm hoping it grows and builds its own mythology.

Space Roasters is a company which claims it will be able to roast coffee using the heat of reentry.
I'm rather skeptical for various reasons but you can look at their suspiciously well produced website here https://roasters.space/
Regardless this does give me an opportunity to talk about other gourmet food which has been flown in space and returned to earth, to be clear I'm not interested in the food that is eaten in space, but the food that has been returned to Earth.
Ninkasi brewing has the best example of a space flown delicacy which you can buy in stores "Ground Control"

The Air and Space Museum has a space food collection with items returned from the moon.

It's a common trope in movies, an asteroid or comet threatens the Earth, but human ingenuity, heroism and nuclear weapons obliterate it and save the world from certain doom.
This is of course complete rubbish, the kinetic energy in an impactor just ends up getting spread over a wider area and incinerates anything underneath it.

Back in 1994 Elon Musk was another new graduate in Silicon Valley doing whatever work he though would be interesting, this lead him to work with 'Rocket Science Games' who at the time thought the future of gaming would be build around live action cutscenes, I'm so glad they were wrong.
