I love my PRS CE 24, the only thing that bugs me about it is the weight. It's close to 8.8lbs. I figured a lot of that came from the tremolo so I decided to look for a light weight direct retrofit tremolo and found KGC (Killer Guitar Components) make one out of all light weight aircraft grade solid billet aluminium. I also end up blocking tremolos and not using them. I've saved nearly 1lb of weight because of this change. I'm a happy camper! Here's a quick comparison of the two tremolos using my favourite clean position 4 (outer coils) with stock HFS and Vintage Bass pickups into my AX8 on a default and dry Shiva preset followed by the HFS bridge pickup on a Friedman HBE (also pretty much default) preset. I kept the tra-tech saddles on for each bridge to keep the comparison fair.
