Garden Bed preparation with Tilther
I've been using the Tilther sold by Johnny's seed for a few years now and it has been a great addition to our garden/farm tool supplies. In this video, I use the Tilther to prepare the recently added (large volume) of compost to the central garden plot permanent raised beds. Typically I use the BCS tractor with the rotary harrow to prep the raised beds, however, I selected the Tilther for this job because of its light weight was less likely to cause the compost to be lost into the pathways.

In this video, Thea has begun to transplant broccoli and kale into our permanent-raised beds. The beds had a mixture of mustard green cover crops place last fall and Thea is transplanting directly into the beds leaving the cover crops residue to be broken down by the microbial communities. No tilling is needed. We use weed mats and drip tape to prevent weeds and maintain automatic drip irrigation.

Thea and I decided to take a day off and go to the Woodsman field days in Boonville New York and meet Mike and Melissa Morgan from outdoors with Morgans. both of us have been a little tuckered out working on the farm so we decided to take a break, go for a ride, and say hello to YouTube creators. Mike and Melissa are wonderful and we had a great trip. Although I love looking at equipment, I did not spend time during the event looking at individual pieces of equipment.
