Stacked Dipoles in the Vertical Orientation are common in a one on top of the other configuration in repeater antenna systems. This design is for Horizontal stacking, but I wanted to see how it performed vertical. This is a test before I build a larger version for 6 Meters, the one band I have no Antenna for. I would have made this a tri-band antenna, but my Icom 7100 has two antenna connections, one for VHF and one for 6 meters and lower. One area I have not found answers to my questions is what wil lbe the feed point impedance if I alter the separation from this 1/2 Wave length separation. I have seen a reference to making the spacing 3/8 to 5/8 ths waves, but it did not mention the inevitable change. As the bands get lower these get bigger, and shorter spacing could be a worthwhile compromise. Maybe ladder line feeding into a proper tuner is the answer to dealing with that variable as an unknown.

This 2 Meter Antenna allowed me to try out my Yaesu Hand held on the more distant repeaters in my area. Now I need the cable to try out a dualband horizontal Stacked Dipole array for 440 and 2M.
