With the tiny Aurora in my backpack, I head out into the woods to look for some new flying spots.
This is without question my favourite quad right now. It's just so nimble, and agile. Hard to believe it's flying off a 450mah 2s battery.
If you want to check out an Aurora 100, take a look at the Banggood (affiliate) link here - https://www.banggood.com/Eachine-Aurora100-100mm-Mini-Brushless-FPV-Racer-BNF-w-F3-OSD-10A-Dshot600-5_8G-25MW-48CH-VTX-p-1127606.html?p=E81211714085201408XQ
So the game is: Find new spots, fly one lipo and then move on. The first spot scared me - I felt like I had no room (and the ants wanted to carry me away) bu the 2nd and 3rd spots I will be going back to soon to put more lipos through and take some other quads there.
If you want to see the pure raw videos, they are on YouTube as unlisted, you are more than welcome to check them out (mute your volume !) -

Today I'm checking out this Drone backpack from Torvol. It's built around the Phantom design, but it's highly reconfigurable. Can I fit my massive old Naza based quad inside ?
I really liked this backpack. Even though the fit of my quad distributes the weight incorrectly (compared to a Phantom) the fact I walked for over 10km and only my feet got sore means it's a well built and designed backpack. Check it out at https://torvol.com/product/drone-adventure-backpack Torvol also do some racing-style drone backpacks and a few others. I've yet to try them out, but they do look exciting.
I must apologise for the state of my hair in the final part of the video. That's the result of my sweaty head in a baseball cap whilst walking for 3 hours !
Clarification of the little covers I mentioned at around 4m 18s of the video. They are covers for your motors to protect them from any dust and dirt while you are carrying it around in the backpack.

I wouldn't normally make a video this early on in the build... i.e not actually built at all, just unpacked. But as it took me a while to get my hands on one of these, I just wanted to let people know it's out there.
Where's the Badlands video ? I just checked and the Badlands Wii Wing video is unlisted at the moment, so I won't share it here. However, here's are some alternatives.

I'll be building mine as soon as I get all the components together. There'll be, of course, an accompanying video or two to go with it

It's fun to just fly with friends, but it's also nice to make up some missions/goals to try for. This seemed like something that was fairly simple to do, but despite it being a pretty short 3km run, it really got the pulses racing !
It's a very weird sensation to feel movement from the car but experience the completely different movement of the wing. Whilst I'm use to no movement from my body and some via the goggles, this was very different.
Big thanks to Neil for the idea of these missions, and driving this leg (once he worked out the "tricky" automatic controls) ;)

What a day. My new 4s quad blew it's camera, and the 2 of the 4 escs burst into flames. I was going to take the 3s one out for a fly, and so it rained. Instead I build myself a little fpv crawler course and drove around it to cheer myself up.
Here's Roboforcerx2000's mods to his FPV basha https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulTNwk34cLA
EDIT: For some reason I got it into my head that this was the Basha instead of Basher, blame the whole Rocksta thing, they seem to miss of trailing r's. Anyway, so the title page has my typo, but as it's rendered into the video, I'm not changing it !

I defile one of my favourite and smoothest quads to make the split smooth... will it finally sort out the jello issues ?
If you've watched the whole video and still want to buy a split, then I bid you good luck, but I do think you may be slightly deranged. But anyway, if you want one I got this split direct form RunCam here http://shop.runcam.com/runcam-split/
You can of course also purchase from RunCam's partners, so make sure you shop around (affiliate links used)

This is the second part of the ending to the wonderful Ico on the PS2. This ending is quite long so the file has had to have been split into 2 pieces. So if you haven't already watched part 1, go back and do so first

On test today is the ExpressLRS version of the RadioMaster TX12 Mk2. This radio seems to have addressed some of the issues that people didn't like so much on the Zorro, whilst adding some nice enhancements and a nice small form factor. Let's take a closer look.
This radio was kindly supplied by RadioMaster for review, so if you are interested in checking it out in more detail, please consider using the following affiliate link which really helps out my channel https://www.radiomasterrc.com/products/tx12-mark-ii-radio-controller?variant=44128450642151&sca_ref=1584211.iYnxsMZ85K
During the course of filming this video, V3 of ELRS went from release candidate to release. So I'll be checking out what V3 brings us in general in a future video.
