Mega Man X (after X4 stylized as Megaman X), known in Japan as Rockman X, is a series of action platform video games released by Capcom. It is a subseries part of the Mega Man franchise and started with the original Mega Man X game, released on December 17, 1993 in Japan (January 1994 in North America) on the Super NES/Super Famicom, which spawned several sequels on various systems, most of which were later ported to the PC platform. The game play introduced new elements to the Mega Man franchise including the ability to dash and climb walls. The first six games in the series were compiled in the anthology Mega Man X Collection.
Capcom released Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 & 2 on July 24, 2018 and July 26, 2018 in Japan, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows, which contains all eight main games over both collections, as well as bonus modes.
Mega Man X, commonly known as "X", was created by Dr. Thomas Light. X was a new type of robot with the ability to think, feel, and make his own decisions. Recognizing the potential danger of this model (in particular if he were to break the first rule of robotics: a robot must never harm a human being), Light sealed X away in a diagnostic capsule for over 30 years of testing.[4] X's capsule was uncovered by an archaeologist named Dr. Cain almost 100 years after X's creation. Excited by the possibilities X presented, Cain disregarded the warnings Light had logged in the capsule and created a legion of robots that replicated X's free will; these robots were called "Reploids" (shortened from Replica Android, but known as "Repliroids" in Japan).
A number of Reploids turned against humans. These Reploids were dubbed "Mavericks" ("Irregulars" in Japan), and a force called the Maverick Hunters ("Irregular Hunters") was formed to combat them. The Maverick Hunters were led by Sigma until he, too, became a Maverick and declared war against the humans, thus starting the Maverick War. X took it upon himself to join the Maverick Hunters under their new leader Zero. Throughout the series, X, Zero, and later Axl (a prototype of the next-generation Reploid) battle against the Mavericks to stop their plots to destroy the human race.
After the series reached an unresolved cliffhanger, a game entitled "Mega Man X Dive" was released by Capcom Taiwan in which a human plays Mega Man X, until due in part to some corrupted data known as Maverick Data, he/she gets transported into the Deep Log, a massive database with data on every Mega Man game. The player must progress through the scrambled code of the Maverick War, Elf Wars, and the Game Of Destiny, to destroy the Maverick Data causing the slow corruption of the Deep Log

Serious Sam: The First Encounter is a first-person shooter video game developed by Croteam and originally published by Gathering of Developers. First released on Microsoft Windows on 21 March 2001. It had been in development since 1996 and had videos showing its early gameplay in 2000. The First Encounter was originally developed by Croteam as a demonstrator for their engine and the reason why some countries saw its initial release priced at less than half the price of other games in the genre. This game was followed by a sequel, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter released 11 months later.
Serious Sam: The First Encounter's gameplay consists almost entirely of the player attempting to defeat dozens of enemies at a time in wide-open arena-like areas and thus is relatively simple. The game's story establishes the reasons and methods for how the player travels from chapter to chapter through the game's menu system called NETRISCA. Enemies spawn frequently and attack in large waves from across the game map, and the player is intended to dodge their projectiles and charges by jumping and strafing rather than by taking cover. Health and armor are non-regenerative on all difficulty levels except for the easiest and instead are replenished with the health and armor packs which are littered throughout the game. Available health is represented by a percentage number on the screen. The combat is high-paced and frenetic: The levels typically consist of a series of elaborate arenas, in which the player will defeat a set number of re-spawning enemies before proceeding to the next. Enemies consist of soldiers with rocket launchers, charging bulls, gigantic robots that fire lasers and rockets, and shrieking suicide bombers without heads.
The player can carry a number of weapons, including shotguns, a minigun, a rocket launcher, a quad laser gun, and a cannon. Ammunition is scattered across levels that the player must pick up, but players are also suggested to explore the level's environments to find secret items including more health, ammo, and weapons that are obtainable regularly in later levels. Unfortunately, some items are trapped and may trigger a spawn of more enemies.
It's getting more intense!
Enjoy!

Max Payne is a third-person shooter action video game, the first title in the Max Payne series, created by Remedy Entertainment, and first released for the PC in July 2001, published by Gathering of Developers.
The story begins in 1998 with Max Payne, a New York City police officer, returning home to find that a trio of drug junkies high on a new drug called valkyr have broken into his house. Max rushes to the aid of his family, but he is too late; his wife and newborn daughter have been murdered. After his family's funeral, he transfers to the DEA.
Max Payne is a third-person shooter, in which the player assumes the role of Max Payne. Initially, the player's only weapon is a Beretta. As they progress, players access other weapons including handguns, shotguns, sub-machine guns, long-range rifles, and hand-thrown weapons. To move the game along, the player is told what the next objective is through Max's internal monologue, in which Max iterates what his next steps should be. The prime emphasis of the series is on shooting. Almost all of the gameplay involves using Bullet Time to gun down foe after foe. Levels are generally straightforward, with almost no key-hunting. However, some levels do incorporate platforming elements and puzzle solving. Ammo is in virtually constant supply, as all enemies drop some ammo when killed.
Bullet Time is a very large part of the Max Payne universe. When triggered, it slows down the action around the player to allow them to have quicker reflexes, and thus lets them kill enemies with ease. The player's movement is slowed, but they are still able to aim and react in real-time, providing a unique advantage over enemies.
Ports of Max Payne were created for PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Macintosh. A version of Max Payne was also released for the Game Boy Advance. Another port of the game, dubbed Max Payne Mobile, was released for the iOS and Android handheld systems on April 13th, 2012.
Half-Life is a first-person shooter video game developed by Valve and published by Sierra Studios for Microsoft Windows in 1998. It was Valve's debut product and the first game in the Half-Life series. Players assume the role of Gordon Freeman, a scientist who must escape the Black Mesa Research Facility after it is invaded by aliens. The core gameplay consists of fighting alien and human enemies with a variety of weapons and solving puzzles.
Unlike many other games at the time, the player has almost uninterrupted control of Freeman, and the story is told mostly through scripted sequences seen through his eyes. Valve co-founder Gabe Newell said the team aimed to create an immersive world rather than a "shooting gallery". They built Half-Life using GoldSrc, a heavily modified version of the Quake engine, licensed from id Software.
Half-Life received acclaim for its graphics, realistic gameplay, and seamless narrative. It won over fifty PC "Game of the Year" awards and is considered one of the most influential FPS games as well as one of the best video games ever made. By 2008, it had sold over 9 million copies. It was followed by the expansion packs Opposing Force (1999) and Blue Shift (2001), developed by Gearbox Software. It was ported to the PlayStation 2 in 2001, along with another expansion Half-Life: Decay, and to macOS and Linux in 2013. Valve ported Half-Life to its Source engine in 2004, while a third-party remake, Black Mesa, was released in 2020.
Spider-Man is a 2000 action-adventure video game based on the Marvel Comics series The Amazing Spider-Man. Although it features the likenesses and same voice actors, it is not based on the animated television shows from the 1990s. It was developed by Neversoft and published by Activision using the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater game engine for the PlayStation; the game was later ported by different developers to various systems including the Game Boy Color and Nintendo 64 that same year, as well as the Dreamcast and Microsoft Windows in 2001.
The game follows Spider-Man as he is framed by a doppelgänger, making him a wanted criminal, and attempts to clear his name, while foiling a symbiote invastion plot orchestrated by Doctor Octopus and Carnage. The game features villains from the comics as bosses, including Scorpion, Rhino, Venom, Mysterio, Carnage and Doctor Octopus, as well as a Carnage symbiote-possessed Doctor Octopus, who was created exclusively for the game. The game was followed by three sequels in 2001: Spider-Man 2: The Sinister Six, developed exclusively for the Game Boy Color by Torus Games; the Playstation-exclusive Spider-Man 2: Enter Electro, and the Game Boy Advance-exclusive Spider-Man: Mysterio's Menace, both developed by Vicarious Visions. The game features narration from co-creator Stan Lee, and is the first Spider-Man game published by Activision following their acquisition of the license, which would expire in 2014.
