Ethereal Enigma (Early Access) - Part 12 The Beach
Here we have one of the two climaxes of the fourth chapter. These are some of the last decisions you get to make regarding relationships. Once you play the game at night, things are locked in, and the only choice you have left is whether to enter the relationship.
Based on who you have the scene with during the game will reveal the route you are on, so you can see in this one we are on the Erilynn route since we carry her. I imagine decisions will need to be made in the final chapter, but I don't know how much content is actually left in the game. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70rg1DgEHmQ
With Hanayome behind us, we can now move forward where we make our return to where everything started (that we can remember). Hanahiko was not the only occupant of that abandoned school, and with our new notebook in hand, we start learning how to control snakes so that we can explore the rest of the place.
Returning to Crossbell, all the stops are out now as the very SSS Building gets shot up. Fleeing into the streets, we move from district to district looking for a safe place to hide. With even the roads out of the city closed, it is only with the help of the Crois family that the group can hide in the IBC. Unfortunately, the very bank itself is in danger, leaving the SSS to go out and confront the mob to buy time...

Entering Akira's dungeon is a matter of RNG. Anytime you Teleport from battle, you have a slim chance of coming here. I managed to get here in the middle of the Trial of Instinct, and you have to complete this place before you can leave (and never return). This gives you the rare opportunity to see the unsaid things of the people and how they are reacting to the monster they created.

This is going to be one of the final demo videos I upload. Last time you saw the Light Bowgun, and I mentioned that I intend to use both, so here is the other. Unlike last time, now I know how the wirebugs work for ranged weapons and abuse the Counter to no end.
So first things first, the Heavy Bowgun uses a charging mechanic and does not have the ability to rapid fire (in the demo), but can reload most ammo on the move. It has a shield built in, so you can passively block attacks provided you are not taking any other actions. The frame is collapsible, which should help reduce recoil, but adds some frames on drawing and sheathing it.
In terms of ammo, I am finding myself among the camp that does not believe charging to be worthwhile. There will most likely be armor sets that make it good, but in the demo, it simply isn't worth the time. Sadly, you do not have enough resources to kill all 3 monster easily, so you would have to gather ammo regardless of whether you charge or not.
The thing I learned this video was about Sticky Ammo being able to KO monsters. It gives you more reason to aim for the face now, and takes away some of the utility of the hammer. I believe with the Horn rework and this, you will see quite a bit fewer hammer uses than in the past.
Ultimately, I hope there is some worth to using Slicing Ammo as that can remove tails, but it was extremely difficult to do in other games without some sort of gimmick at work. Depending on what the options are, it may very well be possible to main the guns without missing out on anything. Keep your fingers crossed.

There are still some loose ends for us to tie up here, and some of them are DLC as I will face the Harlot, Trumpeter, and Mephisto in this part. Other than those, we tackle Huang Long, the final choose your side, Fionn, and Khonsu. The latter of those two are important as they can seal one of the ending routes on the playthrough, forcing you to go through again.

In order to play the upcoming game, we need some information. For that reason, I need to spend time with the crew and make some exchanges with them. I will warn you that either the clues are really vague or I misinterpreted them, because my final diagram is way off of what we see in the next video. And if it makes you feel any better, at least the upcoming game works (spoilers for game 4...)

The end of the game's story is at hand. Due to how much I've played this, I don't know what the exact trigger is on this, but I assume defeating Teostra is one of the requirements. I'm also not that familiar with the fight on account of it being newly released, so there are definitely some un-optimized things going on here.
The fight starts off with you facing Ibushi, which makes this the only place to farm his materials outside of Rampage. Once you take him down, which should be really easy for this stage of the game, Ibushi will "fuse" with him, and then you get to fight the Allmother herself. Her moves are hybrids between what they were originally and Ibushi's, with a few additional ones here and there. They pack a punch though, so you can't afford to take too many hits without going down for the count. The fight is winding down when the ghost cat arrives to lend a hand...
The hard part for gunners here is consistently hitting her claws as some parts of her body have over 90% damage reduction for ranged attacks. I didn't know this the first time I did it, so I had a lot of wasted shots trying to find where her weak spot was.
In the end, you can get parts from both Ibushi and Narwa in this fight as well as a couple new items from their fused form. I ended up making Ibushi's newest LBG as it looks like it will be a monster one when G Rank is enabled. When I get the chance, I will definitely try it sometime as I think it may combine the best aspects of Narga and Magnamalo, but I will be prioritizing the new content for the next couple days.

It took over 2 hours to talk to everyone inside of the city, not counting grabbing the berries for Oscar, so I had to split it into two parts. In the event you missed any books or recipes, this is your chance to get them (newspapers excepted). For this part, we largely stay in the north and east sides of the city, and in the next one, we will hit the south and west sides. Luckily, unless there is a patrol needed for the post game, we should only need to do this once.

The tutorial continues, and I think it may have been better to give someone else indirect units earlier so you don't have to deal with Max's weakened ones, but here we are. This was the first mission where I really felt the nerfs going from the first game into this one. There were instances where something should have been outright destroyed or so badly maimed it was effectively destroyed. Since Flak has no defense modifiers, this should have been worse, but you'll have to wait until Hard Mode for when the gloves come off.
Also, I end up doing the Neotank mission in this video since it is a small map. Routing the enemy is a little tricky here as he has a Lander hiding in the reef, so you have to put something next to it in order to see it, then you have to start shooting it through 2 stars of defense to actually sink it. It is just faster to force your way through the bridge and take the HQ
