Get Richer Sleeping is a short personal finance booklet created by Jaspreet Singh, host of the Minority Mindset YouTube channel. This booklet isn't a how to personal finance book. Rather, it is more of a motivational booklet that will show why investing is important and several introductory steps you can take to begin building a more secure financial future. The booklet is available for free and can be read in less than 10 minutes. In my opinion, it is a great quick read for anyone who is unsure about their financial future or feeling overwhelmed by longer, more academically oriented personal finance books.

"Whatever happened to just using good old fashioned cash?" After being asked this question by my grandmother, I began thinking about the fear that many people have regarding the impending transition to a "cashless society." When I thought about the arguments that many people make in favor of cash, I realized that many people essentially view cash as a private, anonymous, decentralized, permissionless medium of exchange (even if they don't use those words). I don't think that the transition to electronic money itself scares them but rather the thought that they will lose the privacy, convenience, and anonymity associated with traditional cash. Unfortunately, the days of "Cash is King" are long gone, and the transition to a mostly digital payment system appears inevitable. That being said, I believe that cryptocurrencies can be a modern way of preserving the inherent benefits of cash while also incorporating many conveniences of electronic payment methods.

As the cryptocurrency bear market continues, many crypto influencers continue to sell their audiences Hopium by promising that they will all eventually profit if they simply continue buying into the market no matter how far the price falls or what bad news we receive. Although I do think it is important to be optimistic and support our favorite crypto projects, it is also important to remember that nothing is guaranteed when it comes to investing. Although there is a historic bull and bear cycle for crypto, we can't guarantee that simply holding an asset will lead to an inevitable profit during the "next bull market". First, there is no guarantee of a bull market, and second, the simple fact that there is a general bull market doesn't guarantee that a specific coin/token/project will share in those gains. I want to be clear that I am NOT saying that all is lost for crypto or that crypto has no future. Rather, I want to reiterate that we should always do our best research before investing and not simply sling hard-earned money at projects with the belief that just holding long enough will guarantee a profit. #crypto #eth #eth2.0
