The first episode of what could be a long series to beat this, one of the best FF games ever made. This port to pc (from the IOS version) isn't without it's problems for sure, but I don't seem to be having some of the same issues that were reported by others, so I thought it was good enough to start a playthrough.
In this episode we meet a woman, later revealed to be named Terra, who is being controlled by an empire to help find an Esper that was found frozen in some cave near the town Narshe. Things don't go as planned and the Empire croneys are wiped off the face of the earth, Terra get's her mind control device taken off her, and we meet Locke, a thief who's come to help Terra find out what's going on. They escape from Narshe and begin their trip to Figaro.

Man this game threw me for a loop when I was a kid. The hints townspeople give you are cryptic and sometimes blatant lies. And then when I finally would beat it, I would see Simon dies at the end anyway! It wasn't until much later I would find out there were multiple endings, only one of which Simon actually survives. If you know exactly what to do, you can beat this game in under 6 game days, where you get the good ending, which is the playthrough I have here.

Matt sits down to some Mario 35 with Jack joining in on the chat. Come hang out with us and see if Matt can get 1st place even a single time. We highly doubt it!

In this episode I repeatedly fail at the signpost puzzle until I eventually do it right and learn a new song from Super Mario Bros. 2's boss. Then I go resurrect a dead bird from Mabe Village which is now following me. I make my way up the mountain to get the Bird Key and leave this episode at the entrance to the next dungeon, Eagle Tower.

The first Mario game for the Gameboy was also a launch title for the Gameboy. It's pretty good, it has some resemblance the first Mario game for the NES mixed with modified controls. I was surprised the end boss wasn't Bowser? I thought it would be, but I guess there wasn't much story to speak of. It was also a bit strange to have some side scrolling action in it as well...
Anyway, good enough game, but my money goes to the next game in this which was expanded and improved upon in every way.

In this episode we make it to the Chaos Shrine where we eventually defeat Garland.
Also in this episode I come across my first real issue with the game. For some reason my controller inputs would go off an on, stuttering my movement and keeping me from dashing or getting anywhere easily. I really hope this doesn't become the norm. There was no trace of this issue in the first session, so hopefully it's a fluke. It kept this session very short.

I venture into Shade's fortress and pass his test, defeating a large blob, and my crew receives his power and touches another Mana Seed!
This video halted my progress for a while as when I finished playing it I found out the audio completely cuts out about 7 minutes in and the rest of the original video is silent. Unsure of how to proceed and unable to just replay from the last spot I sat on this for a while.
What I eventually did was go through the rest of the video and manually replaced the music for every area I'm in. I didn't replace the sound effects (what a tedious job!) but it's way better than just SILENCE.
