Retro Asylum - A Random game - Ninja Kid 2 (Arcade, UPL 1987)
Hi its The Drisk here and I wanted to do a video a bit different. The idea was to just pick a totally random game on a system and then play it probably for the first time. Then after playing abysmally, I then will do a little quick research about the game and narrate about it. I think it will be a good way for us all to discover hidden gems, and by being less in-depth I should have time to do more videos for the channel.
P.S. The Japanese name I totally fumbled over in saying their names was... The deisinger Tsutomu Fuzisawa and Programmer Satoru Kinjyo.
Many believe that Street Fighter II started the ball rolling when it comes to beat'em ups, but those people are wrong. No, one of the earliest beat'em up titles made was Yie Ar Kung Fu that appeared in arcades in 1985 and was quickly followed by home versions on many different platforms.
The version being played on this episode of Games of Praise is the MSX, which was on a cartridge. It was one the earliest games to arrive on the platform, but considering the advanced gameplay mechanics it has on show, you wouldn't know it.

The Drisk records the brilliant Turrican update Gun Lord this is done by German developers NG:Dev:Team.
I decided to do a simple camera record of the TV as my recording box didn't like recording this game for some reason. This has no narration and only me playing the game (well occasionally you can hear me groan when I die :-) )... Enjoy

Mads plays the game of the month for January 2019: The Incredible Machine (well, actually he's playing "The Even More Incredible Machine", but that's just the same game with some added levels).
