Cyber Lab for Beginners Learning Web Application Security DVWA
In this video, we are investing our time and ourselves (and $0 dollars) into building out the Damn Vulnerable Web Application (DVWA) in AWS. This web application security platform is designed to teach folks in a lab setting how different web application security attacks can occur, what web application vulnerabilities can look like, and how to defend them.
This will provide a quick start (4 minutes) guide to building a web application security lab in AWS.
Step-by-step instructions for loading the base Linux box in AWS with a couple of clicks, than ssh'ing into the box, installing docker, and finally installing the DVWA instance. Its quick, easy, free, and awesome. Give it a shot.
ATTN: BE SURE TO CONFIGURE SECURITY GROUPS TO ALLOW ACCESS FROM "My IP" ONLY. THIS WILL ENSURE YOUR SYSTEMS ARE NOT ACCESSIBLE BY OTHERS UNLESS THAT IS YOUR DESIGN.
