Once you get it all set up, podcasting can be really easy to do. Still, there are always tweaks, things to learn, and details that can add to your podcast. That's what this episode is about.

Most people know about album art. When you subscribe to a podcast in iTunes, in the Podcasts app, or now in the Google Play app, you see a picture. That's the album art for the show as a whole. Apple says they want it 1200x1200 minimum, but recommend 3000x3000. That's big.

On today’s ProPresenter Show (brought to you by ChurchTechU.com), why you should not use ProPresenter’s live video feature to put live video on your screen.
One of the questions I get over and over and over again is how to use the live video feature in ProPresenter.
I always advise against using it. The right way to do it is to take the output of ProPresenter and send it into a video switcher. The reason you don’t want to use ProPresenter like a video switcher is latency.
According to an article I found on Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Audio-to-video_synchronization), the standard for latency between audio and video for broadcast television is 45 milliseconds or about 1-1.5 frames (at 30 frames a second). It also said that most people don’t notice lag until 100 milliseconds or more (which is about 3.3 frames).

ProPresenter 6 is a very powerful program. A lot of churches uses it to display lyrics and play the occasional video, but it can do so much more.
[tweet "Here are 5 things you didn't know Pro6 could do...especially number one. Take a look:"]
1. Show videos with transparency. I think this is the least known thing it can do. Imagine that you build a lyric video, but your lighting director changes her mind on the color scheme. If it's a ProRes 4444 video with transparency, changing the background is trivial.

On today's Tech, No Babel: Live-Streaming: Mixing audio prefade or postfade
You know (if you've been watching long), that I really think that audio for your live-stream should be mixed by a dedicated individual in an isolated room. Not every church can do that.
So the next best option is mixing with an aux. The question is whether you should mix prefade or post fade.

Here are today's questions:
DM on CTL:
I am about to start a project that will involve quite a bit of interview-style videos. I am wondering what you all recommend in terms of lav vs. shotgun. I have used a shotgun (both mounted on the camera as well as on a boom pole) but I have never used a wireless lav before. I am about to make the purchase of either a wireless system or a quality boom. What have you found to give the best sound?

Here's a question for the community, I was going to send it to one of the podcasts about podcasting, but decided to post it here instead:
