In this episode of Markets, Malls and Marts Travel Blog I visit the The Brunel, a shopping mall located in the centre of Swindon and occupying 60% of the town centre area. I have always liked this place with the usual (and unusual) range of retail outlets, it's clean and bright and very accessible. Later this year a new food hub will be opening that will certainly add value to it. One wonders how the rest of the town will be impacted but the Management seem genuinely honest and open about two way working with the retailers whether outside or inside the mall.
Opening in 1973 the uniqueness was three fold: 1) a unique black and white tiling to the then single storey 2) the delivery area located on the roof, which removes the need for lorries to enter the pedestrianised sections to unload. 3) shops have a unique outward/street facing frontage.
My visit was interrupted by security as I was told that I needed permission to film. Subsequently I had a meeting with Jane Stewart about this and future plans for video blogs.

Thailand Immigration proposing Retirees show 800k Baht in bank every 3 months to keep visa
The Nation has a news vlog about this proposed rule change, which would affect those retirees with little or no money due to the removal of the illegal activities of bribery and fake bank balances, in order to gain a retirement visa.
Previous vlog reference the removal of evidence from the embassy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wStey4aVbME

A day of leisure, relaxing, personal grooming, ending off at the J-HOT self service, self-cook, BBQ restaurant where a low one-time-fee of 200 baht per person excluding drinks means you can eat as much as you like (mostly sea-food). There are a few of these places but this one and Ah-EE are the two most popular.

This is the full meeting with Thailand Unplugged, in Bangkok airport, suvarnaphumi, on my trip home to UK. This is also the very last episode of Thailand Adventure 4.
So, we had arranged to meet up in check in area as I arrived (late) from Khon Kaen, and was being assisted to check in for Thai Air to go home.
We spent a good 20 minutes or so chewing the fat. I was, obviously, disappointed Stephen didn't bring any camera equipment so the only footage available is what appears in my vlog.
In our conversation he told me he had a job there, collecting trolleys.
Hopefully we will get to meet up next time for a longer period.

My very first travel blog (and a bit of a test for future blogs). In this episode I am in Swindon Wiltshire, co-incidentally the 175th birthday of the town, famous for Railways and the Magic Roundabout.

Happy Sunny Day to you all, a couple of things to talk about today.
One is the forced demonetising of videos for the use of restricted words that has a side effect that advertisers are abandoning youtube in droves.
In my case innocently referring to the event near to the houses of parliament in London has made my one video "demonitised", after which I immediately requested a review. It is still "under review", despite assurances that the process is speeding up of late.
Philip DeFranco: https://youtu.be/VeKq-l2Uzv8 discusses this in full.
The other thing is how we experience things, or meet people, and then wonder if that was meant to happen or just coincidence. Two people this week whom I have crossed paths with, one in person and the other via internet, but both people have related subject matter to why I am here vlogging, travel vlogs with an emphasis on disability access.

This journey was from Bangkok to Westbury UK, using Thai Air and in the UK using GWR railway (although because of works at Paddington the first part was Taxi).
I show this journey in full, it's 47 minutes, to highlight the issues with disability assistance and all of these services are meant to make the journey easier, but as you'll see this was fraught with issues.
Please note the GWR journey was booked well in advance.
1) Thai Air -- check in changed my previously booked seat and did not tell me.
2) Check in -- asking me inappropriate questions about my problems.
3) During the check in (baggage search) I was forced to take off my shoes, and there was no SHOE HORN to help put them back on and no help to do so.
4) In London, no wheelchair at the plane, only 20 foot from the buggy did a wheelchair appear.
