The endorsement is seen as a boost for Trump heading into the SEC primaries next Tuesday. Christie said Marco Rubio’s debate performance last night was desperate and indicative of a losing campaign. According to yesterday’s National Enquirer, Queen Elizabeth, the 90-year-old, beloved British monarch, has been fighting for life in Buckingham Palace in London. Her Majesty missed Christmas church for the first time in her record-breaking 64-year reign. She has been battling a life-threatening pneumonia infection since just before Christmas. But, according to the Enquirer, the Queen was too ill to get out of bed and was so sure that she was in her final days that she had secretly abdicated the throne to her 68-year-old son, Prince Charles. Her Majesty already suffers from a failing heart and is in constant pain from arthritis, but when she announced within the Royal family that she was too ill to travel to her Sandringham estate for Christmas, the family descended on Buckingham Palace. According to the Enquirer story: “Then [the Queen] looked at Prince Charles and said quietly, ‘I’m tired. I can’t go on. You’ve waited so long. It’s time for you to take over as king. I am officially abdicating.’” However last Sunday – 2 days ago – Her Majesty stunned the British press by making a sudden appearance at morning church at St. Mary Magdalene in Sandringham, in Norfolk. As she stepped out of a maroon Bentley at exactly 11:00 am, she was cheered by members of the public. The Queen walked unassisted, dressed in royal blue, with her husband, Prince Phillip. Shortly thereafter, she was joined by other members of the royal family. The Royals remained for the entire church service, departing at noon. It turns out that the Queen did not remain in her bed in London, as the Enquirer had it, but she had traveled to her Sandringham estate before the new year by helicopter. She plans to remain there until next month. Reports have it that the Queen will meet with new President Donald Trump in February. I’m still reporting from Washington. Good day. What if she has not only become very adept at using it, but now even dependent upon it. What if President Obama uses it too?
