The Volvo FH is a heavy truck range produced by Swedish Volvo Truck Corporation. Introduced in late 1993 as FH12 and FH16, production still continues with the now the second generation of FH range model lineup. In late 1993 Volvo had unveiled its replacement for the legendary F cabover series in production for almost 15 years.[3] The development of FH in what it appeared to be a clean sheet of paper design took seven long years. The development of the all-new design 12 litre engine with its overhead camshaft and electronic unit injectors technology placed Volvo among the world's leading engine designers.
There were two models, FH12 and FH16 which shared common cabs and chassis and the FH12 immediately won "Truck of the year" award in 1994. The 16 litre engine, gearboxes and the driveline were carried over from previous generation albeit with many improvements and the host of additional features including all new Volvo engine management and its diagnostics for the D12A engine.
The cab produced at Umeå from hot dip galvanized, high tensile steel allowed for greater strength at thinner panels and box sections while reducing overall weight. The new FH cab was a logical progression from, for its days spacious but boxy F series cab to more aerodynamically efficient, with much improved ergonomics and much better seating unit while reducing overall weight of the cab by almost 30%.[4] The cabin was extensively tested in a wind tunnel to confirm shape aerodynamics properties to reduce air-drag thus improving fuel efficiency. The cab featured more sharply raked windscreen while wedge shaped sides rounded into front panel at much wider radius corners and the rear vision mirrors were also streamlined. The cabin was subject to the toughest cab impact test where procedure involved placing a 15 tonne static weight on the roof and one tonne pendulum striking at the cab rear wall and at the windscreen pillars, at the end of which the cab doors must be able to be opened.[5] In 1995 Volvo FH series became first heavy duty truck to be fitted with a SRS airbag to further improve passive safety

Decimoquinto vuelo del programa Apolo (denominado oficialmente AS-510), fue lanzado el 26 de julio de 1971 mediante un cohete del tipo Saturno 5, en dirección a la Luna.
Fue la primera de las misiones del tipo J, es decir, con modificaciones en la astronave que permitía una duración del vuelo de hasta 14 días.
Poco después de comenzar la órbita lunar número 12, el módulo de descenso consiguió alunizar a 26,08º N 3,66º E (a sólo un centenar de metros del punto teórico en la región de Hadley-Apeninos, en el Mare Imbrium) llevando como tripulantes a David R. Scott -comandante-, Alfred M. Worden y James B. Irwin.
Tras alunizar, Scott realizó un reconocimiento del terreno a través de la escotilla superior del módulo lunar, durante 33 min. Tras descender del módulo de alunizaje “Falcon”, los astronautas Scott e Irwin emplearon por primera vez un LRV (Vehículo Explorador Lunar o Lunar Roving Vehicle, fabricado por la compañía Boeing y la Delco Electronics de General Motors) que recorrió una distancia total de 27,9 kilómetros.
Durante las 77 h y 55 min de permanencia en la superficie de nuestro satélite, aprovecharon 18 h y 35 min para realizar tres paseos lunares (EVA).

El Alfa Romeo Giulietta (Proyecto 191) es un automóvil de cinco puertas del segmento C producido por el fabricante italiano Alfa Romeo. La longitud del Giulietta es de 4,35 metros, estrenando la nueva plataforma modular compacta de Fiat Group Automobiles denominada C-Evo, que se espera sea adoptada a partir de 2013 por la próxima generación del Fiat Bravo y Lancia Delta. Esta misma plataforma, ensanchada y alargada, servirá de base para el futuro Alfa Romeo Giulia.
Es el automóvil más seguro del segmento C según los resultados de las pruebas de seguridad pasiva realizadas por el organismo europeo Euro NCAP, obteniendo un 97% de protección para adultos.1 El equipamiento de seguridad de serie incluye además sistema Alfa DNA, diferencial electrónico Q2 con DST, control de estabilidad de Alfa Romeo VDC (con ASR y hill holder), sistema Prefill, 6 airbags, cinturones delanteros con pretensor doble y asientos delanteros con sistema “antiwiplash”.
Se completan la dotación de serie en todos los modelos con climatizador manual, llantas de 16 pulgadas, cristales delanteros eléctricos y ordenador de viaje. El sistema Blue&Me también estará disponible de serie o como opción en toda la gama.
En el lanzamiento estarán disponibles 5 motores dotados de turbo, todos homologados para cumplir las normas Euro V y equipados de serie con Start&Stop para la reducción de consumos y de emisiones. Todas las cajas de cambio serán de 6 velocidades. Con algunas motorizaciones se podrá escoger opcionalmente la caja de cambios automática de doble embrague en seco Alfa TCT.

Lotus Evora S
In 2010, Lotus unveiled a high performance variant of the Evora called the Evora S. The "S" in the name stood for "Supercharged" but was not intercooled. The car had the same standard design but was more powerful, now rated at 345 hp (257 kW; 350 PS) and 295 lb⋅ft (400 N⋅m) of torque due to a new supercharger manufactured by Harrop.
The exhaust of the car was also replaced with a single-tubed exhaust system. The suspension's dampers were re-calibrated to suit the vehicle's new suspension characteristics. The steering also received re-calibration.
The car was able to accelerate from 0-60 mph (97 km/h) in 4.6 seconds, with a top speed of 172 mph (277 km/h).
Lotus ceased production of the S in 2014 and later replaced it and the standard Evora with a new variant called the Evora 400 in 2015.
The Romanian Police have a Lotus Evora S in their line-up as of 2012.
