The first Star Coin is above a set of music note blocks after passing by a Fuzzy. The 2nd Star Coin is between ice blocks where Fuzzies orbit the lines. Cross the plant landings that adjust height and enter the pipe after breaking the flip blocks with the spin jump. Navigate the landings with springs and you’ll find the 3rd Star Coin. Use the pipe to go back to the main area and grab the 4th Star Coin under a set of music note blocks. Reach the checkpoint and bounce off some Paratroopas to make your way across. Navigate the landings that adjust height and grab the 5th Star Coin. As Bullet Bills appear randomly, go past some Paratroopas and enter the pipe. Bounce off a few more music note blocks and you’ll reach the goal.

Once you pass a set of ? Blocks, Bullet Bills will start flying by. After collecting a few coins, use the spring to get across a big hole. Pass by a pipe with a Piranha Plant lurking and the road ahead should be pretty much clear with a few more coins to gather. Scale a broken stairway and you’ll reach the flagpole.

After a 41-win streak in the Battle Palace, you’ll battle Spencer once more for even a tougher challenge. Arcanine will strike first using Extremespeed and catch a break from a lowered stat with a White Herb by using Overheat. Slaking will use Yawn to make opponents sleep the next turn then Hyper Beam for nastier results. Suicune will raise its stats using Calm Mind then unleash its attacks. After winning, you’ll receive the Gold Spirit Symbol and 10 more Battle Points to add with your streak.

In this edition, the Veilstone City gym has been updated with boxing rings and punching bags. Push a punching bag in the desired direction that will shatter weight rings. After navigating a tough maze in the gym, you’ll battle Maylene. Her team has Fighting type Pokémon. Meditite will use Fake Out to strike first and make the target flinch to start with and Confusion to confuse targets. Even if you possess Flying types, Machoke can always use Rock Tomb that lowers the target’s Speed stat. Lucario will be the hard part as it will use Force Palm to paralyze targets and Metal Claw to sometimes raise its Attack stat. After the battle, you’ll receive the Cobble Badge and a TM60 (Drain Punch). Drain Punch restores the user’s HP by half the damage the target took.

At the start, swim upward to find the “K” letter. Swim left through a false wall and open the crate to reveal Enguarde. After a DK Barrel, be sure to watch for moving Mincers in the area. After passing a few Mincers, ascend and turn left to find another DK Barrel. Time your movements to go by some Mincers as they close in to each other. After some Squidges, ascend for the “O” letter and turn right to find the Star Barrel. Follow the bananas to ascend and you’ll see a trio of Mincers orbiting one spot. The “N” letter is in an opening with a fast-moving Mincer. Cross by some more moving Mincers and ascend until you reach the arrow sign. The “G” letter is by a swarm of green fish. Continue ahead and you’ll find the exit.

Use a fire melon and spit fire to thaw out the first flower. Hit the ? Puff to form a bridge and pass a few known enemies. Knock a bucket down and ride it so you can collect 4 Red Coins. Ride a 4-platform wheel and spit fire at the ice cubes so you can collect 2 Red Coins. In the next area, shoot fire to melt the ice and touch the checkpoint. Collect 2 Red Coins by the ledges and melt the ice to reveal the 2nd flower. Grab a star so Baby Mario runs through. Grab a Red Coin with penguins on the ice and another Red Coin between floating ice walls. Go up the pipe and merge into the helicopter to collect coins. Return to normal and go down the pipe. A Red Coin is over a tree while 2 Red Coins are over the ski lifts with snowmen over them. After sliding under spikes, grab a Red Coin over more ice cubes. Grab the 3rd flower and enter the hut to use skis to go downhill. Time your jumps to cross over holes and collect things. There are 6 Red Coins and 2 flowers as you go downhill. After a long ski adventure down the mountain, you’ll finally find the goal.

As you venture through Victory Road, Wally will catch up and battle you. For this round, his Ralts has fully evolved with the additions of Delcatty, Magneton, Roselia, and Altaria. Altaria will use Dragon Dance then Aerial Ace for a never-miss strike. Magneton will use Supersonic then Screech in case Ground types face off against it. Delcatty can use any of its teammate’s moves by using Assist. Roselia will combo with Toxic and Leech Seed to rapidly drain the target’s HP. Gardevoir will use Calm Mind then Future Sight as an emergency combo. You can have a rematch with Wally after you beat the Elite Four when the Pokénav rings as you’re in Victory Road.
