(170) Acrylic pouring fluid Art 'Hip 2B Square' (2018) Square Flip Cup Experiment list
Colours on a 30x40cm Canvas.
This is something new and exciting. This flip cup is actually a flip bowl. I put the acrylic paint colours in a square bowl to see what it would come out like as an experimental pour.
Although the square looked good with plenty of cells, I needed to fill the canvas a little, so I tipped the our around the canvas, leaving white areas in the form of runs. I flipped 3 shot glasses in areas that needed a breaking up of colour blocks.
I then filled in the black canvas drip negatives with titanium white to cover the canvas completely. The dried painting has not changed at all and is how it was when wet.

I used a ratio of 25g Paint, 7g Floetrol, 3g MPG, Water to consistency.

I also added around 3G of MPG to each colour as a retarder
I used a ratio of 50g Paint, 22g Home made Odd Bodge Pouring medium (2/3 PVA/Elmers School glue to 1/3 water e.g. 6 oz glue and 3oz water) and water gradually, to a flowing consistency.

I use colours with silicone in each. I then use a hairdryer to move the paint around the canvas.before pouring a second onto the canvas.

So, I found an old LP vinyl record in the garage, one that I had been given in the street. I decided that I would make a fluid painting on it. I drilled in 2 holes and put fishing line through then tied and glued it into place to hang up on the wall..
I swirled it a little too much, but it turned out ok, although I have lots of 'pit marks' on the dried surface. Maybe that is the PVA glue which i have had for quite a while now. I need to investigate...

Using up paints today. Mix is 25g paints, 25g Medium (4:1 Elmers/School glue) 10g Water and a squirt of silicone. but not in black or white.
and 1/3 Paint, 1/3 Water and 1/3 Home made Odd Bodge (2/3 PVA/Elmers?School glue to 1/3 water e.g. 6 oz glue and 3oz water) mix the 3 ingredients together well. I also added a little spray of silicone to each of the colour but not to the black and white.

In todays fluid art acrylic painting from Stuart Wimbles at Free Your Mind Art tutorial Dragon Dance Fluid art Acrylic Paints on a 30x40 cm Canvas with negative space 3d Effect and cells. I used to ball point tool to give a little extra texture to the painting, which then reminded me of a Chinese dragon parade or Chinese lion dance.
