Today we have a very sexy and very quick 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner drag racing at National Trail Raceway during the Mopar Nationals event. From the looks of it, this 11 second drag car would also make a real nice weekend cruiser with no obvious imperfections in the body. Plus with an engine like that under the hood, cruising on the streets would be a bucket of fun. National Trail Raceway is an NHRA quarter mile drag strip located between Hebron and Kirkersville, Ohio, USA, off of U.S. Route 40. The track is located about 30 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio. It is known to us locals as Nationals Trails. The Mopar Nationals is one of National Trail Raceway’s biggest events of the year. It is the one time where all the big Mopar fans can race against other Mopar fans and show off their whips. I don’t go every year, but when I do… I have a lot of fun. Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is an NHRA racing series that take place all over the country. They have classes that range from Top Alcohol Dragsters all the way down to bone stock classes. For this year, National Trail Raceway and the NHRA combined two events to create a new week long event Called JEGS SPEEDweek. This was the result of the combination of the JEGS SPORTSnationals and the Lucas Oil Division 3 race. National Trail Raceway is an NHRA quarter mile drag strip located between Hebron and Kirkersville, Ohio, USA, off of U.S. Route 40. The track is located about 30 minutes east of Columbus, Ohio.
