At the start, you’ll ride on a set of hard blocks that will move around in different patterns, so make sure you keep up with it as long as possible. There are fireballs lurking from the lava, and the first Yoshi Coin floats right around the corner where one of the fireballs lurks. Some fireballs bounce around the walls, and there are Blarggs in the lava as well. After crossing over the lava, continue riding on the hard blocks as you will next navigate a section where spikes are on the floor and in the ceiling. The spike section has 3 Yoshi Coins, and some of the spikes may fall from the ceiling. Hit a P Switch and watch for statues shooting fireballs. At a section where flip blocks fold and open, the 5th Yoshi Coin is there. Continue ahead and enter the red door to battle against Roy Koopa. Roy will run around the room, scale the wall, and fall from the ceiling from where you stand below. After each time you jump on Roy, the walls will close in. Platforms over water will sink if you land on them, but will slowly revert if you get off them. A snow Jawa will throw popsicles in ice, so take it out quickly. A snowman will jump high to another spot while a sea lion will throw bombs. Fall into the underground and board some moving platforms, but watch for the spikes in the ceiling. Samurais will do belly flops if you go near them, so take them out at a distance. Once you reach a section with spikes in the ceiling and on the floor, the only way you can get around them is by using the bat ability. After flying through the section, more sea lions will toss bombs. Use the bat ability to reach a high landing and you’ll next see figure skaters go by. You’ll next take on a floating eel dragon. It will move in different directions and eventually break the ice, so be careful not to fall off. Defeat the eel dragon and you’ll advance to the next stage.
