THE SECRET TO AMERICAN ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION (Voiced & Voiceless Sounds)
THE MOST IMPORTANT LESSON FOR ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION THAT YOU NEVER LEARNED!!!!

Voiced and Voiceless (Unvoiced) Sounds

VOICELESS SOUNDS:
CH, F, K, P, SH, S, T, X

VOICED SOUNDS:
B, G, J, L, M, N, R, V, Z, and vowels A, E, I, O, U

If you touch your throat when you make a voiced sound, you should be able to feel a strong vibration.

Knowing how to make voiced and voiceless sounds is the most important part of pronunciation in English. If you ever find that Native English Speakers don´t understand your pronunciation it´s probably because of this.

Some minimal pair examples:
Fan - Van
Safe - Save
Came - Game
Coast - Ghost
Hat - Had
Hit - Hid
Tight - Tied

Try using your cellphone to record your voice and compare it to my pronunciation. What words do you have trouble pronouncing? Let me know in the comments below.
