In this video we take a look at the mysterious Commodore MOS VIC-42 chip that Perifractic showed in his video this week. Since the seller was local I did some digging and also got a chip for testing. I compared it to another MOS Korea made chip and tested alcohol and acetone on both.

This is the first episode in a new series called RavenWolf Roadshow. In it we look at a Commodore 1581 3.5" floppy drive found in the Stone Collection and look at some history and features of the drive.

In this video we complete the restoration of the Mac SE/30. In the end its a very nice looking machine with good overall performance. There are a few things to look at in a future video including fixing a bit of wiggle on the screen while warming up and installing a floppy EMU and BlueSCSI card.

I found this antique Trimont pipe wrench while excavating for the new shop! In this old pipe wrench restoration, we'll take this rusty wrench I pulled out of the ground and make it worthy of a place in my tool chest. The patent date is 1916 so I love to imagine that this old wrench was used by the residents here at RavenWolf farm over 100 years ago. Of course it could have been made as late as the 1940s from what I can find. Since RavenWolf farm was built around 1890, and was a working farm until the mid 70's it was probably lost in the mud by a farmer and walked on by cows for decades.
This is the first video in a series of short "Tuesday Tidbits" videos I have planned. Don't worry, there will still be plenty of vintage 8-bit computers and games coming. I just thought it would be fun to try this style of video on this shop-construction find!

Sorry about the gravely voice in part of this video. It was recorded on a bad allergy day and my voice was already shot so, of course, my mic decided that was a good time to tuck in under the collar of my shirt!

Building a Replacement Commodore 64 Power Supply
In this video, I build a replacement power supply and discuss problems with the original supplies. I also discuss the voltages used in the classic Commodore 64 8-bit computer.
Update: I have a follow up video planned that will have information on building a power supply tester as well as a quick look at a fully-failed black brick of death that came with an eBay machine. This is currently planned for late May due to delays in getting the parts for the tester.

RavenWolf Retro Tech brings you new vintage tech videos regularly.
