If one listens to US media, it's all about the US domestic agenda. U.S. President Obama laid out his priorities for 2014, including a widely discussed minimum wage for government. But outside of the US and in the financial markets, there is a growing concern about emerging markets -- countries like Argentina, Turkey, India and China. Erin Ade discusses the themes.
Then, continuing on the emerging markets track, Erin speaks to economist and author George Magnus, a former UBS Chief Economist and author of the books "Uprising" on the ascendancy emerging markets and "The Age of Aging" on the demographic shift in the developed world. They spoke about what is developing in the emerging economies right now. Erin also got him to discuss what is happening in the US and the UK where housing-fuelled recoveries are in full swing.
And in the Big Deal, Erin and Edward Harrison discuss coffee -- a big commodity exported by some emerging markets. It's both addictive and, apparently, good for your health.
