Where does the Bible say we have a free will? The Bible says, “Choose you this day whom you will serve…” which some take to imply we have free will. Jesse and some people in the audience talked about perfection, sin and anger. Jesse argues that anger is destructive, but some said anger is good, that it only depends on what you do with anger. But they admitted that the anger they had was not good. Some people in the audience talked about their relationships with their mothers, fathers, and their children. A mother's "love" (not real love) will kill you if she does not let you go, and if you don't know how to deal with her. Jesse urged that people forgive their fathers and mothers, confront them and love them, so that they can know God. God said to be perfect, but Christians make excuses for their wrongdoing, saying we can't be perfect. Jesse asked what the Bible means that “you shall know them by their fruit.” Jesse mentioned Donald Trump’s children, although they may have issues, they are strong like their father, whom they appear to love. Trump’s children are an example of Trump’s “fruit.” Jesse had someone read from John, chapter 15, verses 1-6, in which Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my father is the vinedresser…. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.” Jesse said that the earthly father is Christ on earth. If you don't return to him, you will not have life on earth. You are cut off from the vine. Look at what has happened to the black community, who have been cut off from their fathers. Love your father, so that you can return to God and have life. Forgive and love your mothers as well. God even said we should love our enemies. One man is going to talk to his mother. In the past he hasn't backed down from her, he attacked her, and he was thinking "all hell is going to break loose," but he should be patient with her. Another young lady is going to talk to her mother and father. She didn't want to forgive her father because he's a bad person, and his other kids turned out like she did, but she wants to work her life out.
