Beck sought fit to dip his toes into dream pop and electropop on his latest effort. As he has a limited sense of direction as most of the songs have not only the same lackadaisical format and structure, they include some of Beck’s most tiresome flows and songwriting to date. It sounds like a bad Slowdive cover, but no amount of reverb can save Beck from this misguided attempt of an album.
