Reviewing the new Starblades book from Kyle Ritter and All Caps Comics. This book has incredible art, I really felt like a kid in the late 90's early 00's again getting lost in the panels. The story had it's weaker moments, but we'll talk about that. I normally post a link where you can get a book for yourself, unfortunately, this one is DONE! So fingers crossed, they have extras or do a second printing. If not, you can always watch this video over and over!
Reviewing Galactic Rodents of Mayhem #1, this book took a trope we all know and love and reinvented it in a fresh way. Let's talk about why you should be reading it.
Reviewing the latest issue of Detective Comics, the mystery surrounding the death of Sarah Worth brings Batman into contact with Huntress and...Lady Clayface?
Reviewing the next issue in the Wally West Lost in the Speed Force storyline. I want to say this issue was more interesting because it's set in the Golden Age I love so much. It had its moments but plenty of problems as well.
Reviewing the first issue of the new Shazam series and while this setup has me mildly intrigued, I find myself once again getting annoyed that this feels like yet another Teen Titans Academy tie in. Well, hopefully the series takes a more interesting path from here on.
Reviewing Man-Bat #3 and this book continues to keep me coming back for more, even when I have to suffer through torturous therapy scenes with Harley Quinn. Let's talk about it!
Reviewing the first issue of We Are Scarlet Twilight by Benjamin Morse, this is a book I originally found through Kickstarter and I'm so glad that I did. It's got all the fun and excitement of a Golden Age story while having new twists that bend the genre in an interesting way. Unfortunately, as of now the campaign is closed and if you didn't get a copy it seems you're out of luck, but hopefully issue 1 will be on sale again (hopefully with issue 2)!
Reviewing Geiger #1 from Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. There's been a lot of talk about Geoff Johns lately and whatever you may think about him, the man can write a damn good story because he puts in the effort. Let's discuss his first foray into independent storytelling.
