This was the 2nd gift for my wife's birthday. A bowl/platter for placing jewellery on on her dresser. It's made from a piece of our old outdoor steps which look like Sydney Bluegum, a very hard hardwood. I've made this a long form video as I was talking to you (the camera) throughout, explaining what I was doing. That being said, my techniques have slipped a bit and are NOT the best or suggested way to turn bowls, so don't copy some of what I do. This is not a "how-to", it's me sharing what I did. For those of you who like tool sounds, sped up or not, there is NO music this time. I was also using a Woodfast faceplate chuck for the first time in years (20-odd).
