I would recommend you pick this up from GOG if you’re a fan of the series and you’re looking for a nostalgia fix. Earthworm Jim 2 could stand on its own and plays alright when compared to modern platformers. You can use modern controllers thanks to DOSbox (I played this with both a DualShock 4 and a Steam Controller), and there are few technical hurdles to clear.

The Steam Deck plays Windows games on a decidedly non-Windows operating system. How does that work and should I be worried about the compatibility of my library?

I wasn't prepared for how much growth System76 has experienced in the year and a half since my last visit. It was incredible to see all the familiar faces and the new employees--some of whom were also familiar.
Check out the Linode YouTube channel: https://youtu.be/vUpc_Qt0hXk
Thanks to @System76 for being one of the coolest companies around, @Linode for sponsoring my trip out there and the JB tour, @Jupiter Broadcasting for their support, and my amazing friends who I've met through my many times visiting Denver & System76, new and old alike.
