Tutorial: Quickly create a Geodesic Dome in Blender
This is a quick tutorial showing one way of creating a geodesic dome in Blender. A few selection tips and "Make Track" to make an object aim at another one.
This is a project I did for Kojn, a member of the Xonotic community. Xonotic is an open source free old schoool FPS shooter. Much like Quake and Doom. This was made with Autodesk Maya but I can see if I can't make this a tutorial for Blender.
This is one version of the intro logo for Random Polygons. It's an indie game dev company, but do other things on the side as well such as tutorials and such.
This is an older video but these are nCloth flags made with Maya. I believe it's a bit different than from the previews versions and my old methods didn't work anymore, had to find out a new workaround.
Continued to learn Blender. Started with sculpting and continued with the whole process of a complete project. I saw a tutorial on Artstation from Rico Cilliers where he made an alien substance thingie. I did my own version, in the end, it turned into a mimic apparently.
This is a rather quick tutorial on how to render wireframe very reliably with Mental Ray in Maya. I wanted to create a fast tutorial which incorporates all the necessary options not only to render wireframe but also make them look nice. There are a few out there which say the same thing but takes things slower.
The impatient people will like this. :p
Cheers and enjoy!
This time I do rowan berry gel. It's a delicious thing, especially to rice. Hope you enjoy the process and good luck to anyone who wants to try this for themselves.
1st pass boiling:
2kg rowanberries
1/2 kg apples
1 liter water
2nd pass boiling (untreated gel):
6-9dl sugar per 1 liter of untreated gel
Optionally: 1-2 teaspoons citric acid per 1 liter of untreated gel (Citric acid is good for removing the bitter taste so I advice to use it)
1st pass: Boil the berries and apples for 20-30 minutes
2nd pass: Boil for 10 - 15 minutes
This is an older video I am uploading here and it might work with newer versions of Maya, this is Maya 2012 as you can see. But I'll upload it anyway.
Here I talk about the error you may sometimes get when using subDiv proxy on some meshes and try to toggle inside Autodesk Maya, I'm showing how to solve it/circumvent it.
Hope you like it and learn something!
I'm not an expert my any means, keep that in mind.
Cheers!
