Finishing the Spiti Circuit through Rothang Pass !! tricky_ticksy !!
It was a 10 day's trip starting from Delhi|| Shimla|| Rekong Peo|| Nako|| Khaza|| Key Monastery|| Chandra Taal|| Manali
It was a spontaneous trip unplanned & unexpected in every possible way. I started from Delhi (ISBT Kashmiri Gate) in a govt. bus to Shimla. Reached Shimla at dawn, immediately got on another govt. bus to Rekong Peo. An awe inspiring journey started from that moment on, it was an eye opener. I did not realise how swiftly my trip came to an end. This video is taken towards the end of my trip, I was coming from Chandra Taal through Rothang Pass. The sky was all lit up, the snow capped mountains blazing by the rays of the sun. Alas it had come to an end.

sandakpur-phalut-trek-day-1-starting
Sandakpur Phalut Trek has been on my bucket list for awhile now. It is one of the most popular treks in India/Nepal. It takes 5 day's to complete the circuit there are many routes from Darjeeling however we choose to start from Rimbick.
Darjeeling to Rimbick - 4hrs drive
The 4 of us drove down to Rimbick from Darjeeling halted in Rimbick that night and started our trek towards Sandakpur the following day.
The route is scenic and the trail beautiful. You walk through Rodendradon trail though November is not the season. The Singalila forest is dense but you barely encounter wild animals. There are no shops, stalls, restaurants, hotels on the way up. You come across small sceluded scarcely populated villages along your way. Remember to carry your own snacks, water bottles and toiletries.
It's a once in a life time experience and you should totally go for it.
