Final scene of super 8mm film, Planet Diva with Nicolio the one and ONLY Sentry Diva and final pick up shoot of Planet Diva with the Diva gang leader, Vixenatrix.
'Ghost Bridge' is the revised edition of what was once called 'Bridge Crusader.' Because the revision is so much shorter in length, there was a great deal of unused footage...perfect for a juicy music video -- using tune "Stiches" by Damion Youth.

Live VHS recording of SISTER Grotto, performing at the Mutiny Cafe, Denver, 2017. I was lucky enough to be able to lay down right by the speaker, thus achieving some cool angles. And SUPER lucky to have filmed through the store window, reflecting pedestrians and traffic. Rad setting for an impromptu shoot. Dig the groovy "telephone" mic!

You know, societies rise and fall, but there is one constant we might rely on and that's the ability to play in the dirt! No need to go hungry in body or spirit. As long as we work with nature, nature shall work with us.

AKWARD, Dome-shaped hippy house that I lived in for five weeks, out of Waltham, Massachusetts. Frame construction (of environmentally friendly dead wood) required only 2.5 hours to build -- utilizing sections of (randomly found) tarps, tents, and blankets completed the house.

The trailer depicts an egotistical runway model of whom is forced into a coma, and may never return unless he can address the karmic state, known as THE SHACKLING.
Possibly the only VHS feature film being made in the world --ALL footage for this film was captured with analog tape.
Originally Known as, 'Victor Has Been Shot,' THE SHACKLING is a sister of the RETRO TUBE: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list...

Episode 2 explores the cheesy noon-time soap opera,TV Guide, bad reception, and time constraints of Television from 30 years ago or before. Sometimes you would be just in time. Or you would never synchronize your schedule to see that "one show" that everyone else has seen but you! oh, how things have changed in that regard. Now that we are here, in this time, please feel free to use the "pause" button if you need to =)
RETRO TUBE: An experimental web series, using VHS analog video and super 8 and super 16mm film. The basic idea is convey the pros and cons of the TV experience back in the day. Receptivity was often poor or impossible...but it would tease you, as it came and went. Moreover, one would have to be present when a program was scheduled, making us revolve around the time frame, which is basically the opposite experience today. AND, the selection was WAY less with a mere 13 channels, and local UHF programs that would often put you to sleep. But, we appreciated it more, as we had to fight for our programs, and often forced to manually change channels. Today, the main fight seems to be finding anything meaningful in an endless ocean of programs. At least today's flat screens are better...or are they?
We are using old stock footage and/or recording new footage, using old schools cameras, You, as the viewer, shall basically see the channel surfing as though you were watching TV 30 years ago.
Most of the footage here was shot specifically for this project, with VHS and super VHS, in North Carolina and Denver. The super 8 and super 16 footage stems from a wide variety of older projects from Reel Groovy Films.

Illustrating how sculpture/art may be used in "Planet Diva." This behind the scenes footage was taken with a tiny (fish-eye lens) Hero camera.

Remnants of what was designed to be a scene in the feature film "Quest for the indie Tube." I lost some essential footage and so have made an experimental film with the surviving material.
Don't try to make any sense of it. In December, 2009, I was filming myself walking around North Carolina's cotton fields. My brother said, I could have been easily shot, as the contraption was 9 feet tall and looked like a terrorist weapon. So, we filmed what this might have looked like...too bad the cotton filed footage was lost...not that a goth robot in the swamps looks any less weird.

In a few weeks, Quest for the Indie Tube( the feature film) will be available online at www.reelgroovyfilms.com
