Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - PC - Part 1/4
The game is abandonware, which means you can get it online somewhere for free by searching for it. For obvious reasons I can't share those information, but it is easy to find.
The 2002 video game Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was developed by KnownWonder for Windows and Mac and published by Electronic Arts. It is the sequel to Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for PC and Mac. As its sequel, it has similar action-adventure platforming gameplay. The game was succeeded by Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban for the PC, which also has similar gameplay.
The only playable character in this version of the game is Harry Potter (voiced by Tom Attenborough), although in a certain part of the game he uses the Polyjuice Potion to disguise himself as Gregory Goyle.
The game received positive reviews from critics across all releases of the game.
The game's core gameplay is straightforward. Taking control of Harry, the player explores Hogwarts castle and grounds. Throughout the course of the game, the player will encounter events that tie into the storyline of the second book. Filling the gaps between these events are various classes, where the player will learn how to fly a broomstick and learn new spells for combating bosses, among other things. Each new spell is accompanied by a challenge, which the player must get through in a certain amount of time to complete that class period. During the later parts of the game, the player will face challenges which are not time-limited and are not related to learning spells. These challenges are all based on events from the book, for example, travelling into the Forbidden Forest and gathering ingredients for a potion Hermione is making.
Going to finish Quake for the third time today because my resolution wasn't well set when I started recording. Won't be able to look at the chat because I need all my focus, but I hope you will enjoy the show.
No matter how long it takes for you to beat Margit, please do not feel bad about it. This isn't a race and you should go at your own pace and enjoy the game. And no using spirits doesn't make you a bad player or a cheater. There's a lot of people who struggled with this boss and this was my way to contribute and helping. I truly believe that anyone can do it with the right techniques. I hope this video has helped you.
Here's a very good game to play for October! If you are into Resident Evil games and survival horror, you might like this one. Just to let you know that the game has a few good and bad things, it has a few issues, but if you ignore them this game can be so fun to play. Check out the let's play and you can decide for yourself if you prefer to watch me play it or buy it on Steam.
If you're planning on playing it on console, I do not recommend it, unless you have no other choice. I had bad experiences on the PS4 with loads of frame rate issues and the game is running only on 30 fps. I do believe the PC is the superior platform when it comes to this game.
