HOLISTIC HEALTH - improving health and wellbeing through the understanding of the mind, body, spirit and emotion.
This video is one of many in a series that I am releasing. They include over 150 (so far) back to basic fundamental exercises from strengthening, stretching, core and stability as well as postural advice and daily exercises for when you are in bed and at your work desk.
They are designed to allow for you to follow along with the repeated reminder or cues so to help reinforce ideal movement patterns, encourage the correct setup and postures and therefore in time help avoid or eliminate poor habitual patterns.
They also help to encourage you to be MINDFUL of your exercise and tune in or be aware of your body and in particular the areas you're working on.
Also, don't forget to first LOVE your body !! Your mind, body and spirit need to be congruent to optimise the effectiveness of everything you do, including the exercises. Even if you don’t believe this is so, I guess there is no harm in loving your own body.

This guided meditation may be useful for those who feel they have an “overactive” mind and find it hard to relax and “switch off”.
I have made two versions of this guided meditation. Exactly the same wording but one made with relaxing music. Ideally, it’s best to meditate without music but if it helps you to relax to start your practice, you may find the one with music easier to begin.
In time, as you feel an improvement in your practice, try to then meditate without the music and as you continue to progress you may feel you can start meditating without the initial guided meditation.
You can meditate anywhere and at any time. In a quiet room, in nature, on public transport or in a parked up car. At first, it may be easier to find a quiet space without distractions from other people, children and pets.
It’s ok to fall asleep, it’s a way of your body letting you know the stress it’s been under but also releasing and relaxing with sleep. If you have the time, once you wake up, try a few more minutes of the meditation.
Try not to “stop” your thoughts (as this may cause a headache), instead allow for it to pass without judgment or putting any energy into it.
Also, try and stay detached from the outcome of your meditation session as it can block you from experiencing an effective meditation session.
