Yes, the sports viewing or sports going public has every right to know if the athletes are competing in good faith. One of the biggest outrages is the recent lack of disclosure by Canadian sports officials and the media that women's archery competitor Stephanie Barrett is in fact a man. It was completely absent in recent coverage of this individual, who did not make it to the Olympic finals, by the way. It doesn't stop with men like Barrett, either, as it also includes so-called intersex males. Men competing in women's sports make a mockery out of said sports, and they need to be barred regardless of whether they think they are women, trying to impersonate women, or have alleged medical conditions. Cheating is cheating.
