According to the Boston Globe, the New Balance shoe company – famed makers of high-end running and tennis shoes – was pressured by the Obama Administration to not criticize President Barack Obama’s pet trade deal, the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) as it was being considered by Congress.
The bill is now dead until a new Congress convenes next year, and depending on the outcome of November’s elections, the prospects may turn even worse for TPP.
New Balance officials have now revealed that they were offered a sweet deal with the Pentagon if they would not criticize the giant trade deal.
“… they were told the Department of Defense would give them serious consideration for a contract to outfit recruits with [their] athletic shoes.”
The TPP would have gradually phased out tariffs on shoes made in Vietnam. But this would have made imports from that nation ridiculously cheap and jeopardized American jobs at the New Balance plants in New England.
However, no order was ever placed, and now New Balance believes the entire deal was a false promise by the Obama Administration to lure them into supporting TPP before Americans woke up and came to their senses.
New Balance is one of a handful of shoe companies that still makes some its shoes in America.
New Balance CEO Rob DeMartini tried to justify their previous silence on Obama’s TPP deal:

According to Bill Gertz, one of the nation’s leading military affairs reporters, just days ago, Iran conducted its first space launch, citing anonymous defense officials.

France may close down as many 160 mosques in the coming months.
France is still under a state of emergency since the Nov. 13 Paris terrorist attacks that killed 130 innocents. Since then, police raids on radical mosques have revealed an astounding cache of weapons, ammunition and pro-ISIS propaganda.
According to Hassan El Alaoui, one of France’s chief Imams:
“… between 100 and 160 more mosques will be closed because they are run illegally without proper licenses, they preach hatred, or use takfiri speech.”
Takfiri speech is one Muslim declaring another Muslim to be not sufficiently religious. It is the Muslim equivalent of excommunication among radicals of the Sunni branch, and is used to justify Muslim-on-Muslim violence.
Moderates reject takfir as un-Islamic – the result of bigotry and zealotry.
For example, in an open letter condemning the Orlando massacre on Sunday, Imam Umar Farooq Hahmood of Kingman, Arizona, quoted Matthew 7:1:
“Judge not, lest ye be judged.”
The Imam said:
“A true Muslim's duty is to protect life. We are all equal in front of God who is all merciful and forgiving.”
However, two days ago, French police raided a mosque 18 miles east of Paris and uncovered 334 weapons and a large quantity of 7.62mm Kalashnikov ammunition, along with ISIS propaganda videos.
According to the French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve:
As a result, 223 Muslims have been taken into custody. France currently has the largest Muslim population in Western Europe, with about 2600 mosques.
The French government may be reconsidering its membership in the Schengen Agreement – the open borders policy of the European Union that allows all residents of the EU to travel freely throughout Europe without showing identification or being screened.
Should they withdraw from Schengen, all persons entering France would have to show a passport once again at the border. This would prevent more undocumented migrants from entering the country.

Hang onto your hats, a new Monmouth University poll of 405 Iowa Voters conducted last Thursday shows Donald Trump in a tie with surgeon Ben Carson.
Both Trump and Carson are tied at 23% - more than double the rest of the field. But Carson’s favorability rating is much higher than Trump’s.
Carson is seen favorably by 81% of voters, and unfavorably by only 6%. Trump, though his numbers are spiking in Iowa, is seen favorably in this poll by 52% and unfavorably by 33%.

It’s taken me several days to get around to my follow-up report on SR 488 Canada’s new Prime Minister Jason Trudeau and his Muslim – at least tendencies.
Here’s another suspect fruit of this new philosophical shadow over Canada – Islamic banking.
A new study released by the Toronto Financial Services Alliance says that since Canada has a fast-growing Muslim population, it is just perfect to become the North American hub for Islamic banking.
According to Janet Ecker, president and CEO of the TFSA:
"Islamic finance is one of the fastest growing kinds of finance in the world.”
"There are opportunities here which should be explored. Toronto is an international financial centre. ... This is another way to keep our reputation and our capabilities growing."
Will all Canadians sell their national souls for a couple of extra bucks?
What is Islamic banking? That’s a good question. I’ve been to two Islamic conferences in the last 3 years, and talked to a lot of advocates for Islamic banking and still can’t figure out who’s telling the truth.
Advocates say, it bans interest, but even other Muslims would take me aside and say it really does not, they just call “interest” something else.
It also is typically based on gold money, and, of course, gold always favors the rich at the expense of the poor – the consolidation of power and not a more democratic spreading of power.
Of course, we already know that Islam is far from a democracy.
The advocates explain it this way: lenders become quasi-partners in businesses. If the business makes money, the lenders share in the profits.
Walid Hejazi, an associate professor at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management explained that the new government of Jason Trudeau has to signal their willingness to provide long-term support for the planting of an Islamic Banking Hub in Toronto:
"If there is a risk that a change in government is going to change its view on that kind of investment, that spooks investors.”
"So the government must be clear to say . . . 'We're open to Islamic finance, we welcome it."'
Of course, if I was in charge, I’d worry that once you let Islamic banking in, it’s going to be that much harder to keep it from eventually gaining control over the entire nation.

Good afternoon, I’m still reporting on politics.
Look at this picture.
Do you know what this is?
This is the Hillary Clinton rally in Johnstown, PA yesterday. My rough count of the audience is that there are 34 people on the left side of an audience we assume has an equal number of chairs on both sides.
That would mean there were 68 people in attendance, plus the person who took the picture makes 69.
Looks like when you subtract those Bernie Sanders voters there’s not much left of the Clinton faithful.
They must have forgotten to put up a Craig’s List ad for $50-per- day seat-fillers.
Clinton, who is taking a bus tour around Pennsylvania and Ohio had to cancel the previous event in Cleveland originally slated for Friday night. Their excuse? Scheduling issues. Yeah like not enough people had signed up to prevent the embarrassing picture that they got the following night in Youngstown.
Democrat donors, this is what you are paying hundreds of millions of dollars for to contend with the unstoppable force of an angry Creator. When I see signs this strong blocking my progress, I would tread very lightly from here on and would seriously consider an immediate about face.

Hillary Clinton says she will consider offering President Obama a slot on the Supreme Court.
The revelation came at an Iowa town hall meeting yesterday. An anonymous questioner in the audience said that Obama would be a great pick:
“I mean, he's brilliant, he can set forth an argument and he was a law professor, so he’s got lots of credentials.”
The truth is that in the unlikely event Obama was nominated, he would – in fact – be one of the least qualified Supreme Court nominations in this nation’s history. He never really taught constitutional law. He taught THE most far-left mish-mash courses imaginable – and darned few of those - but that’s another story.
Clinton said she would take the suggestion under advisement, but did mention one little impediment standing in the way to Obama’s road to a seat on this nation’s highest court:
“We do have to get a Democratic Senate to get him confirmed.”
My best guess is that President Obama and his Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, have done sufficient damage to this country so that their political party will not be returning to power in his lifetime.

Good morning. I’m Still reporting on PSYOPS.
Donald Trump is over Iowa, despite how creepy Ted Cruz continues to try to portray him.
On CNN with Anderson Cooper this evening, Trump said that the Iowa results:
“…were 2 days ago. I’ve moved on to New Hampshire now.”
What does remain is that none of the TV news shows, none of the newspapers have talked about the pink elephant in the room – that a self-admitted CIA PSYOPS expert is employed by the Cruz campaign to manage his social-media deception operations.
No, the ONLY place you have heard about this strange connection is through a few tweets by well-placed sources in the Trump campaign – or the Still Report.
PSYOPS means psychological operations. It’s nothing new. The U.S. military has used it since at least World War I. But it was developed with our money to be used against the enemies of the United States – and here’s a flash for you Ted Cruz – We’re not the enemy! Here is the Army PSYOPS emblem – Persuade, Change, Influence.
Anyone interested in spy stuff will find the Wikipedia article entitled “Psychological Operations (United States)” absolutely fascinating.
It has not yet been determined who tipped off CNN to run the story implying that Dr. Carson was leaving the race, but here is exactly what they initially said on air that started all this - courtesy of the Feb. 4th edition of the O’Reilly Factor:

Well, go back and compare. That was not what was said.

So CNN is simply lying to the public and they refuse to admit they made a mistake. But in addition, they are stonewalling on the question of who tipped them off.
It could be possible that CNN is willing to take some heat on this issue to protect their source. There is only one obvious source at this point, and that is a former CIA PSYOPS expert by the name of Dan Gabriel.
Gabriel bragged in his twitter site that he specializes in:
“insurgencies, foreign and domestic.”
When I put this story out on Feb. 2, I predicted that shortly after I published the story – Still Report 569 – Cruz Using Hi-Tech Dirty Tricksters – that Gabriel’s twitter site would either immediately be scrubbed or deleted all together.
Well, that did come true within minutes of SR 569 hitting YouTube. Now, something does remain at that address, but it looks completely differently than it did before my exposure. To see what it looks like now, go to @danpgabriel
In any case, we may never know if Gabriel is still working for Cruz or not - or whether he has simply been fired for bragging about his CIA connections – something strongly frowned upon by intelligence professionals.
But what we do know was that Gabriel was in the thick of what apparently morphed into a Cruz operation to steal delegates from Dr. Carson - and it was very effective.
We know from speaking with Carson people that many caucusers got mad at Carson for not telling them in advance that he was withdrawing from the race.
Many immediately went over to caucus with the Cruz camp, and are probably still pretty confused about what happened – unless they are watching these reports.
But one thing is for sure, the Cruz campaign is driven by big money and is the most scientifically manipulative of the electoral process in U.S. history.
FoxNews – despite Megyn Kelly’s behavior – is still the best game in TV news.
Bill O’Reilly and FoxNews media analyst Bernie Goldberg - who serves as the in-house ombudsman for the network – broke down the media manipulation in an excellent way last night, Feb. 5th:

Yeah, it was a long time! Why, because the voting was going on – right then!
Both Goldberg and O’Reilly then finish up the segment by agreeing that Trump was right and the Cruz dirty tricks campaign may have cost him the election.
