http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/ctcqa On today's ChurchTechCast.com Q & A, Church tech questions on overlaying with propresenter, mirroring on Mac, and a church online strategy
Here are the latest questions:
WonderfulLins on YouTube Hi Paul. Our church is currently live streaming and we're using a live streaming host (smith media group), we are currently not overlaying the song lyrics, sermon points, etc on the screen, but we want to. We are using ProPresenter 6 and have a Cannon Vixia g10 camera. We also have the black magic intensity extreme. We purchased the SDI Module for ProPresenter but I am having struggles on getting it hooked up and working. Do we need a black magic decklink card to do this? OR can we do it with the intensity extreme? If we need the decklink do we also need to purchase a video switcher? In the future we will have multiple camera's so if anything I would like to future proof our investments. Do you have any advice on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfvAc2VYZQA
http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com Presented by http://ChurchTechU.com, it's the ProPresenter show. On today’s show, how to find my tutorials quickly and easily (and other stuff, too).
Welcome again my friends, and fellow Eternity Changers to the ProPresenter show, this is the show where I help you learn about ProPresenter, my name’s Paul Alan Clifford and before we get started, make sure to subscribe and click on the little bell icon so that you can be among the first to learn the new tips and tricks I share.
One of the best things about living in the twenty-first century is how much information is available to all of us. One of the worst things about living in the twenty-first century is how much information is available to all of us.
Both of those things are true. You can find nearly any piece of information you need online, but excluding all the other stuff is really hard, so today, I thought I'd show you the tricks I use when someone asked a question that I've covered in a previous tutorial. So, let's head over to my computer and take a look.

The "site: " and quotation mark trick works for all sorts of searches AND you don't have to use them together. So, next time you need to exclude all other sites or exclude variations of a search term try them and see how they work for you.

Begin with the end in mind: How you know you've reached your destination | Eternity Changers
One valuable tool in figuring out the exact nature of the route you should take to follow your calling is to imagine forward in time to when you're where you want to be. This is what Stephen Covey calls "Begin with the end in mind."

Now, take out a piece of paper and write down what that looks like, what your ideal schedule will be, and your personal mission statement.

On today's Tech, No Babel: Video software that you might have, but don't know about
You know that Photoshop (http://trinitydigitalmedia.com/photoshop --affiliate link where you can get it for only $10 a month, along with LightRoom) is the industry standard for graphic design, but did you know that you can also use it for video?
I first figured this out when I was making a cinemagraph (aka subtly moving animated gif). Then, a couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine sent me this article from Cnet (http://www.cnet.com/how-to/how-to-edit-video-in-photoshop-cc-and-cs6/) about editing video in Photoshop, so a few days ago I tried it.

If you want to be creative, there are four words to keep in mind. To make it simple, I've picked words that all start with "i", so they should be easier to remember.
Get INSPIRED
Look for something that you like that you could use in the following phases. It doesn't matter if you don't know why you like it or if you don't have the skills to reproduce it. Start with what inspires you. Is it the work of Jony Ive or the films of Steven Speilberg or the writings of J.K. Rowling. It doesn't matter if you don't agree with the content. I'm talking about the art of the piece. Collect examples.
This is why would-be authors are told to read a lot or why film makers are told to watch a lot of films. You need to see what you like first before you'll ever be ready to make great art of your own.

http://TrinityDigitalMedia.com/church-tech ProPresenter 5 tutorial: Adding audio to your preservice slideshow loop
[tweet "Do you need to add audio to your preservice loop in ProPresenter 5? Try this:"]
Here's a trick. Put a slide either after the "loops to first slide" or "disable" it and put it before the first slide. Now, when you put an audio cue on it, it won't trigger again, restarting the song after you click it once.
