A delightful looking color TV from 1971. All transistor (solid state) with the dreaded "instant on" feature. Amazingly it appears to never had been worked on, and 50 years later it's still going strong.

This Emerson branded, Orion-made VCR is from around 1990/1991. There was an updated version released the next year that was identical except for the additional of digital tracking control.

A fairly top end Sony VHS VCR from 1999, with the ability to insert audio or video, and a flying erase head.

Made by JVC, this was a very expensive VCR when it came out. 36 years later and it still has excellent picture with stable tracking. The fact that it supports both Hi-Fi stereo audio and linear stereo audio makes it useful when playing back very old tapes.
